Ricky took a catch which bounced of the pads of dhoni and appealed after taking it on the turf. then the umpire is believing his words for the catch off ganguly. He stayed firm after nicking ganguly. How does one believe his word. He is a cheater. IT seems one has to believe his work when he is fielding but didnot believe the words of fielding team when he is batting. Many got that type of escape from umpire like Hussy, Symonds and ponting. Very poor umpiring if I say the blunders politely. This is written all over the face of kumble when he was speaking to the panel in star sports. He said I had nothing to tell about that and the world is watching. The punishment is ban the umpires, scrap the result so that the series will stand at 1-0. Let them fight it out in the remaining two matches. Some may say umpire's decision should be the final and technology may not be fool proof. But if you watched the match you can clearly tell that even any umpires in first class match will not give such poor decisions.

Why should Clarke be trusted to rule on a potentially match-turning catch when he stayed at the crease on day four after edging a ball to first slip?

the catch ponting appealed was clearly of the glove. dont forget he also turned down a catch he clearly took earlier in them match.
Australia is a number one cheater and Aus. Knows that.... Aus. did not win if he did not cheating....Umpries are also a cheater. Ponting is out by harbhazan therefore he will out of Aus. tour.... I want Aus. Cricketer and umpries will be fined.'

what else gavaskar will say; he consistently cries and totally biased, selfish cricketer we have seen in the last 30 odd years of playing as well as commentary career.

go and see your face in the mirror before saying about Gavaskar.
It is easy to compete with 11 players and not 14 players and i think australia has this unbeaten record intact thanx to ICC for allowing australia to play with 14 players...The break up 11 australian players 2 on field umpires 1 T.V.Umpire... kudos to australia keep ur luck for the next two tests as well...India Well done. Raviteja Vijayawada Andhrapradesh
Looking at the summary of the first and second test matches, I conclude that Australia played (or rather conspired and cheated) with not eleven but thirteen players if you include the two on-field so-called umpires. It has become clear that Australians are bad losers, cheats and play dirty mind games. The numerous bad decisions by umpires, the Bhajji-Symmonds episode, and instances of cheating by Ponting (claiming a grounded catch, not walking off the field even after nudging a nick to the wicket-keeper etc.) proves that the Australian cricket team is a cheat and undoubtedly fixed the matches with the umpires. They must have bribed the umpires to get umpiring decisions in their favour.
I have never ever seen such bad umpiring in last 30 years. I like to point out that Steve Bucknor is anti-India. He has been for the past few years consistently giving bad decisions against India in ODIs and test matches just like his colleague David Shepard does for Sri Lanka.
In my opinion this test match be nullified and either be abandoned or replayed. Both of the umpires be stripped of their designation and banned for life. We can certainly do without them.
The conduct of Ricky Pointing (appealing despite knowing that he is wrong in doing so, showing Ganguly the finger suggesting that he is out (he had no right to do so)) and of Symmonds (falsely accusing Bhajji of racial remarks) should be thoroughly investigated and be banned for atleast 20 ODIs and 10 test matches.

Well said ! Don't forget to count the blind third umpire in the Aussie team to make it 14 vs India's 11.
Every Indian knows what Bucknor is like. They now know what Benson is like. Instead of going to the third umpire (I wonder if he would have given Ganguly not out for Clarke's grassed catch or not!), he asked Clarke/Ponting for their verdict. Chor-chor mausere bhai! With the Border-Gavaskar Trophy & the 16-match streak in sight, why in the world would they admit the catch was grassed when the "renowned walker" Gilchrist threw sportsmanship spirit to the wind & like a typical unsportsmanlike Aussie cheat, claimed Rahul Dravid's catch, even when his bat was nowhere close to the ball ?
Great fight shown by Kumble & Dhoni should be commended to the max. Yuvraj should make way for Dinesh Karthik or Irfan Pathan (next Test being in Perth, Pathan could be handy) & spend some time with Deepika Padukone. Wasim Jaffer should be "rested" to bring in Virender Sehwag. The worst-case scenario will be that Sehwag would fail with his batting, but it won't be any worse than Jaffer's (non)performance & Sehwag could be used as an off-spinner if the Aussie cheats manage to get Bhajji banned. In that case, VRV Singh could be brought in for Bhajji.
Gilly acted as if holding back Dravid's a catch which was not comming to his gloves as it was expected due to deflection. He enacted a slip which was enough for the anti Indian racist Steve. Also in Ganguly's dismissal it can be seen clearly how Clarke waits patiently for the ball to enter into his hands after pitching and the time difference can be felt without doubt. Wonder why some of commentators calling that benifit of doubt to go to Ganguly while there is not doubt of being not out.
Anyways congratulaions cheaters for 16 consequtive wins. You have lived upto our expectations & we do'tn expect any thing differnt for next test. For I think India should simply accept defeats and resign from playing them. That would be a better answer for these desendants of convicts.

heres another monkey monkey yes you are bucknor calling jump to stars come lets search our missing tail sipping fosters in the holy grail
This 2nd test match would certainly go down well in my memory as a game where the Indians played better cricket but still lost out due to poor umpiring standards. Certainly I'd like to appreciate the Indians for the way they have fought this match inspite of continued flaws in umpiring. One however wonders if FIFA rules of max age for umpiring to be 45 be implemented in cricket as well. Finally a word of appreciation for Kumble who's displayed a great sense of sportmanship and discipline compared to the derogatory succesful Aussie captain Ponting. Test cricket is all about character and sportsmanship. The Aussies have certainly lost in this regard barring a few.Team India-you might lose the cup,but you have certainly won our hearts in this test match. We stand by you!!!

yeah great job by kumble and his team...Not for once did any of our guys go on to the media and said things abt umpiring.....Ponting should feel ashamed about himself and his team....Really his integrity should be questioned....Somewhere down the line life will play hard on ponting and his men....thats life
