Nothing new. This has been going on for years.
by BENEDICT BISWAS on Jan 06, 2008 03:03 PM  Permalink

In the eighties it was Lillee & co.The onfield behaviour of the Aussies was so bad that one had forgotten that cricket is a game played by gentlemen. The great Sunil Gavaskar decided to walk off the field with his opening partner Chetan Chauhan after he was abused verbally and insulted.Thereafter came the pair of David Boon & Geoff Marsh.Caught behind & LBW decisions were a rarity. Thus they became very prolific scorers but only at home.Ricky ponting is a spoilt brat. One who could've been taught some manners by being spanked hard in an Indian Pathshala. His men are also no less.Steve Bucknor probably repents not being born a white which explains his unflinched loyalty towards the teams from England,Australia & SA. Anyway, with a biased Michael Speed & Gang at the helm of affairs in ICC nothing more in favour of India could be expected.Arjuna Ranatunga deserves the highest accolades for saying the right thing 'We all know where they (Australians)came from.' Their attitude On & off the field proves it all.

by sudarsan srinivas on Jan 06, 2008 03:02 PM  Permalink

15 People played for Australia while only 11 for India, that too 2 times australians had two or more lifes, i think steve buknor needs two or three glasses to see stupid. These kind of upmires to be sent of immediately, for Indians dont worry guys you played well hats of two. Ponting dont think you have broken all records it all because u cheat else it will be a too long for you to even win

Australian cricket
by raj raj on Jan 06, 2008 03:01 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If there is a team that can win only if there are 14 members in the team its Australia. I was seeing the reports in the news that there were 12 dubious decisions with 11 being against India and I was surprised. There were at least 50 against India. Right from the first over the lbw decisions are never given in favour of India and if even an Indian is not close to being out he is adjudgegd leg before. Any team playing against Aus need to understand that there are only 2 ways to get them out, either bowled or caught in the mid field. Getting caught at short leg, behind the wicket, close run outs and stumpings and lbw are not applicable to them (they are a team of 14). I would challange Australia to win 2 out of 10 games if only technology was used for umpiring. I am also so pissed off thinking that when they travel esp to India, Indian umpires continue to rule in their favour. I would really want to see them get a taste of their own medicine. Also what is so disturbing is that they will provoke players and then complain about the comments made in response. The ICC and other authorities can conveniently close their eyes to all the sledging and the rubbish remarks made by them to other players. This is no longer a gentlemans game, its a game for suckers. Indians are more into this game than any other country and yet we take this bullshit, its a pity!

India should boycott this series...
by james on Jan 06, 2008 03:00 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

India should boycott the series and should return back home. These aussies are bunch of cheaters.Whover follow the game well will know that fact.
1.they tamper the hawk-eye and 3rd umpire replays.
(Have u guys noticed all the Lbw appeal by aussies look more to hit stumps than indian appeals app.80% more than indian)
2.This happenes in all the series in australia.atleast 7 decision will go against the visiting team in a test match.

for eg.How many of u know Micheal slater made 245 in an ashes series, but he was run out on Duck and not refered to 3rd umpire although he was well 2 meter short.
Famous sachin lbw.Even a child can reckon it will never hit the stump.(Harper -aus umpire)

I think if we dpnt boycott now thiw will happen every year and for every team which tour to ausssies. Its high time we prove to the world abt these AUSSIES CHEATERS..

If not we will see the same atrocities in next series as well.I am seeing this in last 3 series.

Absolutely right said buddy. If I were the manager of Team India, I would have boycotted the series and handed over the trophy to the aussies without playing a single game after the one that concluded today. It is very annoying to play with people with such behavioural patterns.

Please boycott this series. Remember Inzamam foregoing a test match in England. Similar action is needed right now.

Coward BCCI wont do this ....shameless people in the board...no relation to the cricket but still they rule the board as a business..take some strong action against Aussies and umpires..if ICC is not doing anything..come out of the ICC and start a new one for asian teams...let us play the good cricket...

Andrew Symonds was man of the match but has give his award to Steve Bucknor to keep.
Steve Bucknor is very happy and blessed Andrew that he will score a double century in Perth and take 10 wickets.

Match fixing ! given not out when on 30 and went on to make a 100. With no wickets, till then, given in a platter Dravid's Wicket, with dubious umpiring. Thus earning Man of the Match award. Heard Match fixing ? probably this is the first time even Man of the match. award fixing.Even the so called match referee appear to have colluded and is chargeable for abetment.

chappel and Salter ban them from commenting
by pcu on Jan 06, 2008 02:59 PM  Permalink

In the analysis section in star cricket Chappel said there is nothing wrong in appealing (for the so called catch of ponting). Remember the Indians were punished for over appealing will there be no punishment for false appealing. Slater has no way to be there. This guy who shouted dravid in a match had no business there. Thiy guy called chappel whose under arm bowling is in the HALL OF SHAME. over all a very bad match even these umpires made the pakistan's home umpires proud (remember the old matches where India toured pakistan). Its a shame that this is their 16th win on trot.
