Sachin's First Innings Century
by nizam bad on Jan 07, 2008 12:21 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I went though all the messages and am surprised and disappointed that no one dares to ask the most important question. Why is it that Sachin didn't farm the strike when he was partnering with tailenders (specially RP Singh and I Sharma.) Had he done that I'm absolutely certain we could have played lot more overs on day three and thereby put a little more pressure on Australia. Same could be said with Anil Kumble in the second innings. He should have played the 71st and 72nd overs instead of exposing the tail. Look, the Umpires let us down and cost us a WIN in this test, but it is our players attitudes that got us a defeat. As long as we don't hold them responsible and accountable, we will continue to get these results. I would like to see what others think about this too.

8-9 fielders were on the boundary when Sachin was on strike; only 1 fielder was on the boundary when the tail enders batted.

The fair result of this test was draw. Both India and Aus played well at times and didnt at times. No one is saying India would have won but for the umpiring decisions.

But India certainly lost because of the umpires.

And to think about his innings,he was very lucky to be given not out when he was out,not that i m saying we dont need some luck,we sure did,but imagine if he failed in that one as well, wouldve been really bad for him,i really wish Saurav was not given out in the second innings,he is the Tiger and the type of player to thrive on these pressure,as usual sachin got out when we needed him most..

Yes....the colonial fever still is running high my friend(s), it still is way up there even today this we have to agree to.

White skin mesmerises us Brownies!

Even Bollywood is full of GORA or GORI dancers and locations...hmm..irresistible huh..,MNC's make the employees work on our INDEPENDENCE DAY (15th Aug) for the same people from whom we thought we fought back our freedom! Why because the GORAS want it and demand so, those who are responsible and who call the shots and who decide are always speechless and tongues tight and readily bow in the presence of the GORA FATHERS whether its a game of cricket , movies or MNC's, how do we define this, I have been wondering from a very long time. Just a handful of us protesting would be waited on by them who would say....THEY WILL TIRE OUT AND SOON IT WILL DIE DOWN....you know why? Because they have experienced it earlier! Sad but true!!

australians attitudeq
by kannan on Jan 06, 2008 06:59 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

They have similar attitude like street players, whom where only want to win & rather they forget that cricket is a gentleman game. few incident which reveal that are
1.They are the one who started the on field sludging in cricket, but now they turned such an issue to non-cricket and unwanted racial issue.
2.If they are the best team in world why can't they walk away when their batsmen itself knows that they have nicked the ball in many instances in on-going sydney test

When sledging is not enough Australians have started the caste and racism controversy. We should not forget the history of Australians. I can not expect better than this from Ricky Ponitng or for that matter any australians as they have Cheating and Betrayal in their blood

Lee during one-day series in India said that Children are watching every actions of their cricket heros and they should behave properly. After watching the test match I can say that our Sreeshant was far far better behaved than this aussie f......s

The way faulty decisions always happened to come in favour of a particular team, one would be really wondering as to whether the match was mugged by unscrupulous betting mafia

Is this Justice or Injustice??????
by Sunil Lingamneni on Jan 06, 2008 06:37 PM  Permalink

I guess this is the max which we will get after what has happened. But I don't think this is enough but at the same time I am not saying to sack the umpires. I am thinking that this is not enough and may be the ICC should suspend them for 2-4 tests or 4-8 ODI's or whatever is appropriate. I leave the question to be answered by others.
