Its so weird to hear about racial allegations from Indian cricketers. It is a well known fact that the Australian team are one of the worst as far as sledging is concerned and have used racial abuse for a long long time. Anybody involved in cricket administration knows this and will be noting this complaint from Pointing with humor. I think Australia and the ICC are quite nervous that India will use its money clout to take over the cricket administration. Little do they realise that it is bound to happen, not because we play good cricket but because it is the rule of coomerce. He who has the money, rules. So instead of trying to rake up petty issues, Pointing should think of how he can please the Indians to make sure that he has a life after his playing days.
None of the other players like th Oz because they are bad bunch of losers. The West Indies team of 70s and 80s were far better and still let their game do the talking. I just wish India win this series, less bcoz I'm an indian supporter and more bcoz this would be a wonderful sight to see. Andrew Symonds always had problems with the way we celebrated T20 win, I reckon, this time the celebrations should be even bigger.
Aussie wiped out almost all aborigines! They made the remaining 0.5% aborigines worthless by making them drunkards and by stealing all their children! Aussies never let non-whites into their country until 1970s! Now they cry foul?! They are biggest racists, crooks, robbers and hypocrites! Anyway, they are all descendants of convicts from the UK.
What will happen if harbhajan found innocent? If Indians have guts file Defamation case against Symonds, pointing, Buckner and Benson. [But it is not possible%u2026! He is not a Muslim [ see Khaleel Case. Indian Govt gave full support because he was Muslim and this is Cong Govt,] and it is Cricket and not a Vote Bank. And BCCI [Back Cunning Careless idiots] never do this because of money.

S. Jayateertha is right to recall past incidents in which Aussie players have said a lot of racist and vulgar things and to focus on the reactions of a) the SriLankan or Indian team at the receiving end of abuse- why did they not file complaints? and b) The toleration of umpires on all of these past occasions of the abuse they heard - Was there a different standard applied to "white" teams? In the Symonds-Bhajji case, it is said in some media that Symonds started an on-field chat, while Bhajji was focusing on his excellent batting, "Why are you such a goose today?" . Now, Indians could argue that in India it is provocative to call someone a "goose" - especially when that comes out of the blue without any previous word from Bhajji. Could all other cricket fans, please share through this site, similar sledging / bad behaviour by the "holier-than-thou" Aussie cricket teams, of the past or of the present composition. Yes, Sridhara I do agree with you that some Indias do have a strange mind-set of believing every white person or white team is superior and in any case, correct in their speech and conduct. This is not to say we should do the opposite, every time. We should judge issues on their merit - not on which race or religion the parties belong to.
The title makes you feel that rediff supports australian claims. Harbhajan was targeted for reasons that Pontin knows very well. He will get out everytime to Bhajji if Bhajji is not kicked out through trademark Aussie methods. Aussies hurl more abuse than all other teams put together. Their mouth is like the sewage canals of Mumbai, stinking and overflowing.
