by Raghavan on Feb 20, 2008 08:42 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Afetr one or two yrs,Only Cricketers will remain and the Game ofCricket will die a peaceful Death as people will be tired of hearing and watching cricket.
In short the base price of Cricket will become ZERO.

IPL
by Rajiv Narayanan on Feb 20, 2008 08:30 PM  Permalink

If this clicks then cricket could witness a major change. It would go the way of professional football in Europe.

IPL auctions
by kambam vedantan on Feb 20, 2008 08:23 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is sickening to say the least for the players to go under the hammer. They have proved themselves to be tables, chairs and junk that is auctioned. wish no one watches IPL tournment.

Hats Off to LAXMAN
by Subramanian Rajappa on Feb 20, 2008 08:20 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

You have once again proved that you are a perfect gentleman and put the team ahead of your monetary interest.I hope all the players are listening and they keep this in mind more so when they play under India banner.
In any case IPL has allowed the lion's to taste blood and its only time which can say what level of committment this players will show when they play for India.
Hats off to Lailth Modi ..he has proved he can sell anything ..He is probably the best CEO we have in India currently.

I appreciate Laxman for this. He is a guy who is not mad for money. He is a guy who likes challenges

Please dont make i bigger than what it is. It is not people who are being sold but their skills being sold.

Wake up to the world of professional sports. This is what happens in European footbal, NBA, NFL etc. A very successful model now adopted by IPL.
