It should be VIRU & MENDIS not Harbhajan!
by Kabeer on Aug 02, 2008 12:34 AM  Permalink

It is actually, Viru and Mendis who are the stars of the day! Harbhajan is yet to stake his claim as he hasnt got a five for as yet; and also India could not get them cheaply, it is only because Harbhajan got 4 out of 5 wickets he is appearing great; compare this with Mendis achievement and you will agree with me.

May be tomorrow is Hrbhajans day!

hard work.
by hindustani on Aug 02, 2008 12:09 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

india still need to do hard work to survive in the test.... actually we are playing with 6 players, currently 5 seniors are looking waste,, they did well in past,, but now they don't have that charm,,,, if indian/bcci have that much of faith on them then why can't they bring up rotation policy amoung five, @ max 2-3 player should allow to play,, remaining shud be rested. give chance to raina, rohit sharma, yuvraj (can't be dropped),,, raina was peak ODI, but quite surprised missing him in squad,,,, is BCCI is intentionally killing his cricketing career..... wakeup dudes...

abt yuvi, have can't scale him upon one series ?
do u want india to be continue with 6 players ?
since last 10-15 tests they are playing with these outdated players...why can't they try some tests with young players alone ?

Improvement by India...:)
by sumit jain on Aug 02, 2008 12:04 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In the 2nd Innings of the 1st test, India was allout for 138 and sehwag's contribution was 12. Effectively India scored 126 if we take out sehwag's score. In this test Sehwag scored 201 and India scored 328. Effectively India again scored 127 if we deduct 201 scored by Sehwag. Good improvement by India, scored 1 run more the rest of batsmen.

yar shebeer....but how can last man play by himself. Who will be at non striker end man if 10 wickets have fallen ? So how will Veeru run singles or twos or threes ?

Good idea by you.. but Sorry Sir...Cricket involves 2 batsmen at any time on the crease. Cant change cricket naa :-)

Harbhajan could have had the wicket of
This guy has determined looks but no application ...he is proving a huge waste .. get the U19 keeper or next test have Parthiv, even if we somehow win this test...

Sehwag was denied 300.....
by mike mike on Aug 01, 2008 11:08 PM  Permalink

I agree with ramakanth..

If only the middle order had batted reasonably well ( i.e 30 runs atleast) or the

lower order had batted responsibly (look how Zaheer threw away his wkt)

then likely Sehwag wud hav made 300 or more.

I think Sehwag is in the wrong team...ie if he had been in SA/Aus/SL his

test record wud b much better. Wat do u say

sewag was denied 300 may be 400--500---
by ramakanth k on Aug 01, 2008 10:52 PM  Permalink

this idiotic indian batsmen denied another 300 or may be more for viru.

after todays viru's innings i felt icc should bring another change in rules .

THAT IS ALLOWING LAST BATSMAN TO BAT TILL HE GETS OUT
