The line
"It's important to understand what you should not say instead of what you would naturally say"

Speaks the CHARACTER of Anil.

Slap costs Bhajji 2.67 crore
by BRIJ LAL on Apr 30, 2008 11:55 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Each player should respect the others too. In a match either of the team has to win or loose. It is important to keep the nerves under control otherwise the result is in front of every one. In my opinion Sreesanth might have said something to Bhajji which provoked him to go to such an extent. There should be some penality for Sreesanth too if he has done wrong. It is a lesson for all the players that if any one takes such step he has to pay for that both in name and cash. A slap has costed Bhajji 2.67 crore. So dear players try to control yourself on the field even if you are agressive too.

Not only Money. Today we know that Bhajji is not so innocent as he looks. We the Indians including the Media stood with Bhajji when things went wrong in Australia which he might have understood as unconditional support. NO Bhajji- if you do not have respect for your own countrymen/team member - the world will not respect you. Better correct yourself or else you will be lost in the history like many indian players are lost.

Yes the incident is very bad. But one thing is there before any action taken by match referee against Bhajji, filed umpire's report should have been taken into consideration. There are people who tolerate comments of opposition but there are also players like Bhajjii who will not toerate such things. That is why such incidence take place. One thing is laso there that Bhajji never provoke the opposition, but Sreesanth is such player who will always provoke and make joke of others. He should have been slapped some fine for his action.

Agree with you. We need people who can handle the professionalism with true spirit. Anil, Sachin are such exceptional stars of India. Money and fame will fade one day BUT if you loose your character... None will respect you.

As an Indian I have no sympathy or respect for Bajji. He should be given Compulsory Retirement and also Sree Santh also need to be given warning that if he will not control his aggression.. He can also face the same.
