Predictions
by Bald Head on May 01, 2008 08:45 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Yesterday I posted my wish that Delhi Daredevils should win their tie against RCB. It came true.

For today's matches, my wish list is as follows:

a. Kings XI Punjab should win their match against Deccan Chargers. (I must confess that I am a Hyderabadi who buys and reads Deccan Chronicle daily!)

b. Kolkata Knight Riders should win their tie against Rajasthan Team. I am a die hard fan of Ganguly (even when he appears to be unable to bat at all!) because he is the second Indian captain after Kapil Dev who taught the world what FLAIR means. The third one of course, is the heartthrob of genx, MSD!

Congrats on ur World class predictions............

Can u tell me what is the highest score of Robin Uthappa in T20 Matches, since u "Appreciate" his talent, can u tell me what is the Average of Rahul Dravid in T20 Matches, since u feel he is misfit for T20 Matches.

Appreciate Talent Dont Abuse.
by SachinTheGreat on May 01, 2008 08:35 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am seeing many comments here abusing the Greats of Cricket like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and to some extent Saurav Ganguly, and the basis of these abuses is their performance in this IPL T20.FYI in Cricket there are 3 formats now, Test Cricket(Real Cricket), ODI's and T20, and a Good Player will be good in any format.

Rahul Dravid is possibly one of the best batsman in Test Matches and great batsman in ODI's but he has not performed well in T20 Matches in short he is flop in T20 Matches, but that does not mean u degrade him and abuse him, learn to appreciate talent, Batsman like Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni and Robin Uthappa are nothing in front of him, what are the records of Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni and Robin Uthappa in ODI's forget about Test Matches, Yuvraj Singh is playing Test matches since 6-7 years yet he has not eastablished himself, just bcoz he flirts with Bollywood Actresses and is a superstar, ur comparing a batsman like Yuvraj Singh with a Great like Sachin Tendulkar, Wat a Joke.Who is this Robin Uthappa Waste of a Batsman, he has not even Scored a Hundred in International Cricket, and some jerks are suggesting him to make Captain of Banglore Team, Wat a Joke.

The Problem is U dont know to Appreciate new talent also, bcoz if u appreciate new talent u should be appreciating batsman like Gautham gambhir, Shikhar Dhawan and Abhishek Nayar, these are the real talented youngster's in India and not some nautankibaaz like Yuvraj Singh or Robin Uthappa.

Learn to appr

1. Learn good English. What is "Wat a Joke"?
2. Practise what you preach. If you want others to appreciate talent, you also learn to appreciate the talents of Uthappa and Yuvraj.
3. By your own admission, players like Dravid and Tendulkar are class batsmen who play tests and ODIs well. Then what are they doing in T20 tamasha. Remember the saying that you have to bark when you play the part of a dog in a drama.

As per English Bald Head this is not an Oxford forum, so dont enter that zone, as per ur so-called-suggestions, u said learn to appreciate talent of Yuvraj and Uthappa, first i am asking u what is their talent, kindly tell me how many hundred's yuvraj singh has scored in Test Matches, what is his average, how many Test Matches he has won for India in India and Overseas. Now coming to Uthappa tell me what is his highest Score in ODI's, if ur Sweating for that tell me his highest score in T20 matches, and if u dont have answer's for this, then ur arguing for arguement sake.

Now coming to ur 3rd World class suggestion, What are Sachin, Rahul and Saurav doing in T20, the counter question would be that if u feel certain player's must play certain format, then Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni and Robin Uthappa must never ever play Test Matches and ODI's in their life, bcoz they are good at T20 and not good enough for Test matches and ODI's.

As per the saying ,Remember that every Dog feels that the other Dog is barking.

O baldy,

He is right, except that there s no dispute on the talent of Uthappa & Yuvraj.

Dravid had played two good knocks in IPL & an umpiring error (LBW) made him out in one match.

And about Sachin...who the hell has concluded that he cant play in T20??????

which good knocks Dravid has played??? 38 runs in 30 balls is nothing in T20 .. MSD scored 65 runs in 30 balls other day... Not only Dravid is useless is in this format, he is making it worse by being a poor captain..that's why Bangalore is at the bottom of the points table..

Dada may yet have the last laugh after all, dear. Bengaluru team is a born loser. Bengal team is turning out to be overhyped team. Still I would like them to reach the semi finals.

My intense wish is that in the finals, it should be MSD's CSK vs. Sehwag's DD!

awful captaincy
by BlunderMaster on May 01, 2008 08:26 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

continuous defeats to MI is understandable because the team is composed of crap players. RCB team has a very good collection of national and international players to chose from. only rahul dravid is responsible for RCB's defeats. his captaincy is as awful as ganguly's pull shot. dravid, selfishkar, ganguly and kumble should retire or they should be kicked out of the teams by the selectors.

Kick out this Kallis , he gives so many runs,

yeah dravid told the press that kallis gives him 6th bowling option.but that 6th bowler is giving plenty of runs without taking wickets.dravid's analysis is very poor.keep kallis, joshi out of the team and bring on misbah, the proven match winner in T/20,good finisher of the game and a young spinner apanna.this is what shane warne did showing faith in youth like salunke and others.

One of the Best Things Done was Showing Dravid the Door

Whoever was responsible for taking Dravid out of India's captaincy deserves an award.

The 20/20 championships have been a mirror on capabilities.

Hey Dumbo, Dravid quit on his own, he was infact asked not to do so by BCCI & the selectors , but was adamant & quit. Get your facts correct.

Mallya has acted foolish. If he understood an iota of cricket, he wud have never made dravid icon player.

Dravid does not even deserve a place. You need people who can score 25 odd runs at a strike rate of 150%. Dravid fails this test by a large margin.
