Except McCullum of New Zealand in their first match against Bangalore team, Kolkat Knight Riders' top order batsmen have been failing miserably match after match.
Ponting is going back to Australia and hopefully perhaps his replacement may not have the same torrid time with the bat as has Ponting.
Among Indian captains, the story so far has been: Dhoni - Excellent Sehwag - Good in one match with the bat, not bad as a captain Yuvraj - Not bad as batsman, seems to be learning the intricacies of captaining an assorted side Dravid - very ordinary as captain, flop as batsman Laxman - same as Dravid Ganguly - poor batting, lucky as captain in two matches, big question mark over future Harbhajan - disaster Sachin - Non starter
It will be interesting to see how the teams shape up after the departure of active players from Australia and West Indies immediately and New Zealand a little later.
TAIL PIECE
Delhi Daredevils are my favourites to win today's match against RCB (Royal Challengers, Bangalore), for the simple, irresistible reason that they (DD) are led by Sehwag.

kolkata team is overhyped....delhi team is balanced....jaipur team is underrated...chennai team is good...mumbai may pick up banglore and deccen will struggle

Chennai will miss Hayden and Hussey. Kolkata's foreign recruits have not been firing at all, so it wont make much difference to them and can only improve from here. Salman Butt I think would be very effective. Also, Umar Gul would be an excellent addition to bowling attack. KKR looks a little thin on batting and need their local players to come good. Shukla has been playing his part well.

I am fine too. I am very disappointed by KKR performance. Hope they will do well once Aus players return back.

ALL IPL matches are fixed. Dont bite your nails and watch them. The result is been decided

Sorry Mr. Dinesh, I do not agree that ALL matches in IPL are fixed. If that were the case, Mumbai Indians should have won atleast 2 or 3 of their matches till now.
By making sweeping allegations of match fixing, please do not belittle the efforts of Rajasthan Team led by retired Shane Warne. With an unfancied combination, he has achieved much more than the hyped combinations from Hyderabad and Kolkata.

u idiot lets do a cricket debate and i will remove ur nickers within one minute..u wanna accept the challenge? lets see
I think KKR needs to field first in most games. KKR has arguably the best bowling attack among the teams. They will always have a good chance to restrict the opposition and chase smaller totals. BTW, umpiring remains atrocious. McCullum LBW was highly doubtful. Also, Uthappa was plumb LBW and not given.

Umar Gul will be available from next match and even Shoaib Akhtar is likely to get clearence.
if bangalore loses insult mallya..if so and so loses just blame some famous celebrity...man indian fans have nothing better to do than insult..anyway IPL is fixed cricket masala...so don't waste ur time too much over it lol.

Hey Daisy, It seems that you are the one who spends most of the time here to send msgs like this. Its good for you to go back to your fruitful work instead of (junk) advising others ;)
