While all the headlines are screaming that Sehwag won the game for Delhi, the credit for the superb bowling by McGrath / Asif and then followed up by Maharoof really set up the game. I think Sehwag's 30 run last over - an extremely commendable performance - has clouded the entire reporting and awards ceremony.
In my book, Asif or McGrath deserved man of match; to bowl that miserly spell in a 20-20 game with the likes of Gilly and Symonds is amazing. They allowed batsmen to flourish later.

I fully agree with u......We r all praising sehwag.....but he will be a flop in the rest of the matches to come.....
Very bad news for DC fans.....Lost very badly today... this is due to their overconfidence.....They used to think that they have the best playing combinations .....Got a lot of support from the media as well...This will teach them and their fans a good lesson...I am also DC's fan....but now they depressed me....This is the high time that they got the lesson...
Its mere waste of time to watch the battings of Deccan Chargers.. When heard about the team, everyone was excited...Gilly,Symonds, Gibbs, Afridi, Styris...Mindblowing team.. But Laxman totally collapsed the team be getting in one down position... Its boring to see after that.... Symonds to realise 30 runs by Sehwag in his over.. So he has to show aggressiveness effectively... Lets see in the next matches...

i think they r relying fully on their batting, which is not doing too well at the moment. even if they score 180 or 200, they dont have the bowlers to defend the total.and in 20-20, my feeling is that the team who wins shud have 3~4 good bowlers. Teams like Delhi,Chennai,Kolkatta and even Bangalore have good bowlers to back up their batsmen. But this is an area where the Chargers are lacking and this may prove quite costly for them.

Yes, you are right. First drop Laxman. He is not at all to play for T 20. Moreover, coming first down and out for duck, creating a huge pressure on the time and other batsmens. Laxman is responsible for the 2 defeats. Who will tell him that this is not a test match. Its t 20. A very lazy, very hezitant player laxman. When you have good players like Shahid Afridi, Symonds, Scott Styries, you are sending them last and you are coming first. Really fool. Deccan Chronicle should realise this that there investment gone just because of a poor player Laxman, no aggrression, no leadership qualities. Waist. The best thing to drop Laxman, Venu Gopal Rao, Ojha and Sanjay Bangar. Include Herchell Gibbs, Scott Styris and one Sri Lankan player.
Common Deccan Chronicle realise your a huge blunder. Remove Laxman and give the cpatiancy either to Gilchrist or Andrew Symonds. Otherwise you will be in a huge loss.
