Again the present tense... If you are so convinced, even then you should say "IPL will be the ultimate crap".
Your sentence is as wrong as saying Rahul Gandhi's great grandson is an idiot.
some ICL team beat another ICL team on finals yesterday. And no one is talking about that. But not one ball is bowled in IPL, and every one eagerly waiting for it.

Oh Yeah it doesnt! But Hype does result in publicity and thats the only thing on stake in IPL! Its not just about sport!!! Its a business venture as well... And if the business will flourish it will definitely lead to betterment of the sport down the line.

Good joker there abhishek. Dont you see news on blogs and websites about dull ticket sales. In Kolkata, SRK was stunned to learn that only 250 odd tickets have been sold (Source: rediff). So, i think that shud tell the miserable run of IPL.

Ha Ha, Guess that is slightly better then ICL, which was drawing almost empty stadiums and they had fill in the crowd with invitation and free ticktes...!!!

true mr.suraj i toooooooooooooooo pray that ipl will be a big floppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp.
THIS may not be music to Mukesh Ambani%u2019s ears. The Reliance head honcho, who bought the city team for $111.9 million in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction may be taken aback to hear that most respondents (61 pc) surveyed did not know that the Sachin Tendulkar-led outfit is called Mumbai Indians. The 44-day IPL takes off on April 18. mid-day.com/web/guest/news/mumbai/article?_EXT_5_articleId=1089197&_EXT_5_groupId=14
It is an event consisting of different teams with players from different countries. It wud b a total failure just like the World Series Test Series between Australia and the rest of the World which had to be thrown into the dustbin by ICC.

Dude!!! Dont compare BCCI to ACB and ICC. BCCI is a proper business entity. They will make sure that IPL is a big hit.

Starightway IPL lost the first round..by simply follwing what ICL has done and ventilating needless anger on ICL.

doesnt matter!!!not much of the people bothered to watch ICL matches(although i feel the standard was pretty good). We all know that BCCI does Rule the cricket in this country(which is definitely bad actually) and the hype surrounding IPL is so much that definitely it will be a "commercial" success. How many of us were discussing about the teams and players of ICL when it started(the first one last year)??? Take a look now, even villagers know ki DHONI KITNE MEIN BIKA! lol
i feel the time has come where BCCI should be only just a regulating authority in cricket affairs of the country. They should form a national team only for Test matches/ world cup and olympic/daviscup like tournaments with importance to country's honour. Rest of the tournaments like one day/20-20, the sponsored clubs like ICL or IPL should be allowed to play cricket in different formats in a typical professional fashion where the players choose to whom he wants to play and BCCI cannot threat in childish manner like the present one. ICL has done wonder in giving opportunities to many sidelined very good players.

I agree. ICL has given more options to the so-far neglected cricketers to show their talent to the world. BCCI monopoly shud end somewhere.

The boys got exposed to players like martyn, chris cairns,inzamam,razzaq.....and these boys have proved that on a given day they could beat team with such great players. Who knows, when National team with TENDULAKAR,DHONI,HARBAJAN ... may lose to these spiritted group of players like ICL india eleven. That will really add spice to cricket.

If ICL manages one more edition successfully then there will be no fourth addition of ICL, Mr Chandra and Mr Powar will make internal deals to merge the leagues.
