Good lessons to the Media
by Francis Louis on Apr 09, 2008 02:54 PM  Permalink

This kind of tough stand of BCCI(IPL) was bound to happen, as the Media ( both electronic and print ) went below their dignity to cover each & every aspects of IPL. And gave them an impression that 'Media is for BCCI and not otherway'.

Just see the partiality of the Media, they did not give enough coverages to ICL 20-20 matches, which they deserved. Even the Semi Finals and Finals, which had nail bitting finsh, did not impress the Media, so that they can give some coverages, which any cricket lovers would have loved to watch / read.

Instead, they were busy in showing what SRK, Akshay Kumar, Preity, etc were doing in the run up to IPL and other silly things w.r.t. IPL.

WAKE UP MEDIA. ITS TIME TO SHOW UR BACK TO PAWAR, SHAH, MODI & BCCI AND TELL THEM THAT WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF THE MEDIA BCCI WILL BE NO WHERE.

AND PLEASE GIVE SOME IMPARTIAL COVERAGES TO ALL INCLUDING ICL.

Top cricket website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Top cricket website, rediff.com. That must be the biggest joke. Rediff has no rights to boast themselves. It has no speed, while covering cricket scores.

Hope IPL is a big flop
by jagdish rao on Apr 09, 2008 12:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am only hoping that IPL becomes a big flop. There is too much cricket. and IPL will only add to the overkill. And it is so blantantly about money and not cricket. BCCI is filled with greedy business men. Sharad Pawar spents more time in cricket and IPL then in agriculture ministry. How come he holds an office of profit when he is a minister and is not supposed to.
There is one set of rules for ordinary folks and a different set for rich and the powerful.

It will flop because you and I can only appreciate 'National Teams' and not SRK's or PZ's though Saurav or Ponting may play for them.

Jagdish,

Your concern about Sharad Pawar is correct. He has set a very bad precedent. Now every minister wants to become BCCI president.

Lalu is waiting to become BCCI president in next few years. He will ensure his son plays for India during his period.

So,the final statement. There are no politics in Indian cricket. There are only politicians in Indian cricket.. he..he..he..he..

Sharad Pawar and Lalit Modi are behaving as if unke baap ka raj chal raha hai. Unfortunately the government is not doing anything to stop this autocracy.
