by Suhas Kamble on Apr 08, 2008 01:22 PM  Permalink

If IPL can survived without websites media then websites can also be survive IPL and cricket.

Hope this will be last news regarding IPL. Just Ignore them cause they have already done same to you.

who wants to cover IPL, anyway?
by Prince John on Apr 08, 2008 01:22 PM  Permalink

will the newspapers be too eager to report IPL proceedings?

maybe BCCI pay newspapers for some coverage . . .

Wow and why would Cricinfo and Rediff not promote ICL !!
by Amit Sharma on Apr 08, 2008 01:22 PM  Permalink

This decision by BCCI is like playing in the hands of ICL. We all know that cricinfo and rediff are the most likely places for anyone to look for cricket news.
IPL may have its own agenda but see who is gaining :-) ICL !!

media received a Good lesson for ignoring ICL
by A R on Apr 08, 2008 01:21 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is a good lesson to Internet Edition of Times of India, Cricinfo and rediff and ALL other internet and media channels who did not give proper & deserved coverage to the ICL.

It was a pity to see, while TOI online edition has created a complete seperate section for IPL, on contrast they don't even report ICL match results even as a headline on front page. Users need to search by going into sports section to see if there is any news on ICL latest match and there you can find the news and that too without photo. Like TOI, same biased approach was adopted by Cricinfo as well without giving ICL its due headline coverage for its matches.

Now I am happy to see all these media sites and channels have been tossed by IPL losers.

I don't understand if IPL does not recognizes ICL then why these media channels have to show a biased coverage which was almost nil? Shouldn't all these media channels and sites have a responsibility to give a fair treatment and coverage to everyone?

Nice to see that IPL have stabbed them while they all were trying to lick IPL's ass.

true - your opinion.

last statement is wrong - you give them unfair advantage by putting the media so higher than they deserve

IPL in, Country Out
by James George on Apr 08, 2008 01:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is the effect of the 2nd test match at Hyd. Pathetic display by the Indians and theres money involved in IPL than the Test match. 3 days the test got over with India ought to have the home-side advantage. Really sad for Indian cricket.

by Prince John on Apr 08, 2008 01:18 PM  Permalink

who wants IPL anyway?

it is going to be a great failure. . . websites can at least tell their readers that IPL mamoos are the fast decaying breed.

several crores of rupees thrown down the bottomless hole - - ha ha ha

sing and dance . . . IPL has taken the abortion pill to kill the would-be-pesky kid.
