Sachin Tendulkar is one of the legends in the history of the game. Nobody has to vouch for it. But the fact is that it is time for him to bid adieu to his international career. Because he should give an opportunity to others to become another Tendulkar. He is not indispensable. For that matter no one is indispensable. Unfortunately some people are born with disabilities. Some of them have the habit of depending on others. The other symptoms of this problem is 'not realising the fact that they have this problem, arguing without proper reasoning etc etc. These people argue that Tendulkar should continue to play international cricket. Because of e(i)diots like this our politicians, cinema stars and cricketers survive for a long time and after loosing charm they impose their kinfolk upon us to be in the limelight.

So you want to promote socialism in sport? Same holds good for you, if your employer tells you that you worked enough and retire to give a chance to others.

It's not the employer who is asking for retirement. It's some Idiot people from outside who is asking for it.

Well I may not be an employer. I am like a majority shareholder. He is representing our country and my country's image and reputation is at stake and I have every right to object and tell the company's heads to terminate his employment.

Raju garu, there are many ways to ask a question, you can phone him, send an email or post a letter to him. He doesn't have to be in front of you to ask a question. Am I right now?
that no one is playing real ckt and nursing their injuries. test ckt is just a stop gap arrangement between the auction of players and actual ipl matches. if this is the reason then y play test matches? abandon those so-called ridiculous matches.
Everybody is getting ready to play IPL,........... Forget the third it is time to concentrate for the IPL............... INjuries are there just to prepate for the IPL
Wow this is such an awesome statement to make isnt it. Giving fuel to all Sachin haters, who just know one thing how to hate. Do they really care for Indian cricket. One thing is for sure the BCCI's stooges are idiots and have an uncontrolled mouth that needs. This so remidns me of my managers, who would embarass me time and again by their idiocy. If only they knew a way to keep their mouth shut. Tendlya is injured and hes chicken and thats it. I know everyone of you here has given their life to the country by volunteering to go to Kargil and fighting for India's pride. Frankly I think even Rediff wants to cash onto this. Are they suggesting he faked the injury. Did they forget his efforts in Australia both in Tests and ODI finals.

don't get sentimental - a person who can't stand 5 days of leisurely test cricket is now trying to become the super athlete for IPL. As he himself claimed 20-20 is a young man's game - he obviously needs to have bed rest before start of the IPL matches. Funny priorities these. As I said earlier - Ambani does not want lame horses for Mumbai Indians and the so called "Icons" lying in hospitals.

I am still surprised that every time Sachin has to answer about his credibility. After playing more than 15 years for the country. if still he has to prove his honesty towards the game it's shame to the people who are questioning him. Every time when this question is raised he proved again and again that, still he is great asset to Indian team. Do you think playing 20-20 is difficult than playing Test cricket ?. Let him be himself and take his own dicision. You and me are not the one who has to decide whether he should retire or not .

No one doubts Sachin's talent - it is his value systems and commitment which are usually questioned. I think for very good reasons - recent examples are of course resting for IPL and carrying the olympic torch to burn the aspirations of Tibetans and give respectability to Chinese.

Without commitment to the game he may not have survived for this long. Also carrying a olympic torch not shows that he is opposing Tibetians. As Olympics is not only related to China. They are hosting it. Actually if you oppose to carry a torch than you are not opposing China, you are opposing Olympics.

to that extent you are right - I would oppose Olympics if it is held in China. The Chinese can take the torch from Shanghai to Beijing for all I care -
