Kumble or Fumble ?
by Kannan on Apr 05, 2008 05:22 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Very insipid, unimaginative, boring captaincy. No longer effective as a bowler. Please retire and make way for Piyush Chawla

I like the usage of words, inspide, boring. I am surprised you ar ethe very same people who raised Kumble to the stars when he handled the team in Australia against the australian media, fans and players and said this the kind of captain you need. One bad day & all of you will drag any person down to earth. I think its time we stop wasting time doing such stuff and enjoy Cricket just as any other game.

RE:Kumble or Fumble ?
by India on Apr 05, 2008 05:30 PM  Permalink
I agree. Losing at home pitch, playing 5 bowlers and still struggling to get the opposite team out and managing only 7 wickets. India does not need Kumble as captain. Its time some young chap takes over as India captain.

True...
kumble must retire gracefully.
He is not fit and dangerous.
Problem is "he does not accept it"
If he goes for runs,he shouts at fielders.
He mostly gets only tailenders out and also claims that bolers gave 100%.
man,if SA team which canot ply spin can score 500 consistently, there is a problem with bowling, particularly spin.
Accept it dude

I beg to differ with you, if Kumble is getting only the tail enders wickets, how is he the third highest wicket taker, and also has crossed six hundred wickets, just because you do not have to pay money for posting in here do not post rubbish

I agree. What is the meaning of the Captain saying that the bowlers gave 100% when they have no figures to show for it. Is a score of 494/7 by the opponents reflective of 100% commitment from our bowlers? I doubt it.

Kumble's gamble!
by Vijay on Apr 05, 2008 05:15 PM  Permalink

Well, now i am very sure Kumble's ability to captain India. First he choses a medium pacer to replace Tendulkar (going against the curators advice that pitch is going to be slow n turning) and then choses to bat first after winning the toss. Where is the common sense Mr. Kumble? If you think you have a fast battery allow them to have a go first if you think the pitch is lively. You thought Veeru is going to score big again! big mistake! Blame it on the pitch! That's the best we Indians are good at! Passing the blame!

Jai Bolo IPL!!
by sandeep kumar on Apr 05, 2008 04:40 PM  Permalink

Now the question begs to be asked whats more important to BCCI and the team the Test series against SA or IPL if zaheer khan ishant shrma and sachin tendulkar all magically come back into action for IPL then maybe BCCI was thinking let all of them "Rest " during the TEST Series and get ready for IPL lest then Ambani Mallya SRK Preity etc not get offended Pride passion etc playing for your country is no longer motive it seems

by Sameer K on Apr 05, 2008 04:09 PM  Permalink

This is called You cant drop me 50 !!!!! for those who understand....

If India has to win on lively pitches, then we need Sachin, Dravid and Laxman to click, we saw that in perth.

The only Q is whether we make Springbokes to bat in before they Pocket Ahmedabad Test.
by D goel on Apr 05, 2008 04:01 PM  Permalink

D. Goel .,Panchkula ,afternoon, 4 pm,Saturday, April 5th , 2008.
It is plenty of time to correct the Indians in thepresent test, of their rash and careless battinh causing them to bowled for 76 on their own choice on a batting wicket where indian Attack was blasted by visitors to lead by 418 runs after 7 wickets and try to defeat the host by an inning and more..
i for one is wondering if we would be there to equal the deficit to force the guest to win a few runs to gain their lead in the series.
Certainly ,we are on the backfoot at the moment'
Unless miracle happens /or rain intervenes on our behalf, we are already one point down!
It is a poor performance by stalwarts like Viru ,Rahulji and Jaffer once again at Ahmedabad. Let us hope Ganguly Dhoni, Kumble and Pathan stand and fight to the hilt to save us from the ignomimy of an Inning's Defeat...D.Goel

The TAILENDER dhoni must be be feeling guilty and wondering how to look at Ganguly face to face after doing "SAKHUNI" work.
