It is high time that they drop the seniors one after the other. To begin with they should drop Kumble nad Ganguly followed by Dravid and Tendulkar. This will no doubt give youngsters some chance to represent India. Even if we lose in the first few matches, it will never bother the cricket lover.

Idiot look at the score board. Highest scorer is a senior player not ur so called youngster.

India won in Australlia because of Sachins brilliance in finals. Also Sachin scored century in test. This youngsters are second grade players to seniors (namely Sachin,Dravid,Yuvraj,Ganguly,Kumble,Irfan-who ahve served Indian cricket for more than six years/some more than 10 yrs). The youngsters dont have abilities of the Seniors. They wondue to Sachins brilliance in Australlia in finals. The category of Seniors is high class while that of youngsters is moderate. They will be in team for 2 years or so and then the true ability will be seen.To build a strong Indian team we need players of good cricketing skills ,but not young ones.
After the win on australia The die hard fans of Indian cricket team had gone hyper.I had written that time itself that the victory on ausies was only a multicolour soap bubble and the bubbles can not stand even a whiff of breeze leave alone the typhoon. It will take another year or so for Indian to register a win may be on Bangladesh for the fans to go hyper again.

NOW DEAR FRIEND, YOU DON'T GET HYPER FOR NOTHING. The reason for Indians going berserk after the win on Australia was completely different. Even I loathe the Indian's Schizophrenic Obsession with Cricket & Complete Disregard to other Sports. But the Win against Australia was Special in that the Haywire Goliath had been Tamed by Meek David (which was long overdue. But this time..... "OLD HABITS DIE HARD", they say. Especially with India, it is perfectly true. They are back to their losing ways 'coz Losing is in India's Blood.
Kapil said many players in the Indian Test side, flouting the Board's own rules, were busy attending various launches in connection with the IPL, which starts its first Twenty20 championship later this month.
Kiran More, another senior ICL functionary, said the Indians looked jaded in the Ahmedabad Test.
"How many turned up for the net practice session tells the story. The players were already too tired by attending the launches," More claimed.
PLEASE GUYS....WE NEED TO SUPPORT ICL AND BOYCOTT IPL!!!!

i totally agree with you...!!! ICL is required for players who feel avoided... but y is ipl required???
ICL was not a damager but IPL is a damager to Indian Cricket...because it all started with Crooked intentions and falsehood under very GREEDY and Unprofessional Novices....Like an arrogant chap L.Modi and the useless politicians who are basically good for nothing people with corrupt credentials.........so it is bound to reap bad fruits.....and see results are coming....India Lost the Motera TEST.
In the Chennai test, the focus was not on winning, but on Sehwag's new record and Dravid crossing the 10,000 test runs mark. After that, the 'stars' returned to ad shoots for IPL.
Sad that Test cricket sometimes fail to qualify as a competitive team sport.
The players sometimes forget that they are sportsmen first, out to win matches and celebrities second. That is not the case with our heroes.
They did so well in Australia when the situation demanded it. Right now they seem complacent.
do we really need a S.African unexperienced person of a coach for this India team, any how his reigm has been welcoemd by fire by his own country men. LOL

dont blame him.. its our batsmen who fails to deleiver... they r still on cloud 9 after defeating australia in australia... its a wake up call for all of them... n they need to be more focussed in current series... which i doubted they take it very lightly... there is no planning strategy and commitment... which we saw in Australia... its a clear sign of complecancy nothing else... wake up Team before the last match otherwise it will be too late for u...

so it is this Coach who should bring in this planning and stratergy, more so when we are playing against the S.Africans, who else better to tell us what to do against the South African players than one of their own who is currently our Coach.
Ganguly knows that India(Kumble) is loosing any way. So what a better chance to prove that he is still in good form and still acheiving his goal of India getting defeated. People still doesn't wake up to the maladies of this man called Ganguly.

[[He is simply not capable of that like Dravid Laxman Sachin Sehwag who can do]], What a joke !!! Were your STAR players not playing this match ?? I agree Sachin was not playing, but your other CAPABLE players could have saved the match. right ? Have you seen the scoreboard ? Swhwag[17runs], Dravid[17runs], Laxman[35runs] !!! So collectively they scored 69 runs. "69 < 87" do you agree ? Had each of them scored at least 69, the match would have been saved. Any idea why they could not do that ?

Some facts ...for Shantanu Basu Was it a great match saving innings?
Bongs say Ganguly scoring 144 against Australia to save match%u2026. Fact is bowlers were Gillespie MacGill ,bracken, Waugh ,Katich No Macgrath Lee or Warne.
1 st day ----- Match started late due to rain on ended early bad light. Two rain interruptions in between 2 nd day ------ Match started late due to bad weather on ended early bad light. Good interruptions in between. 3 rd day ------ half an hour play due to bad light and rain 4 th day ------ play ended early Ganguly scored century at tea in conditions it was clear can not be played for result. 5 th day ----- play started late ended as draw with mutual consent of captains.
How this can be match saving innings when everybody knew that there wont be result. Indian first inning ended on fifth day

Nice facts. I'm not a big fan of Ganguly, but I have seen the difference in performance of the team when he was captain and now. The performance of the team was somehow consistent under his captainship. At least statistics say that. Also he was much more aggressive and tactical than anybody else.
