by cebujonas on Apr 05, 2008 08:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Kick jaffer, he is just a mumbai candiadte in abscence of tend, it should have been rohit...

Veeru lazy as usual, Take Virat Kohli..

we should take Kaif in immediately...

Dravid should be kicked for his unreasonable slow batting once in england and now in chennai causing draws in possible victories...

Badrinath should be put in...

Dhoni should go out of test team, we need Sir parthiv patel seriosly...

Kumble must step down for youngster ravi jadeja...

kick useless RP, take Pradeep Sangwan...

After all give test captaincy back to Dada, the only player got a mindset to fight back..

The innings debacle
by Jaganniwas Iyer on Apr 05, 2008 08:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I hope other visiting teams will emulate South Africa's example and heap humiliation on this bunch of hyped jokers and the BCCI. Cricket will gradually lose popularity and genuine national games like hockey may see a glimmer of hope of revival. Cricket is a national waste; India's biggest racket in which the BCCI, its players - self-declared heroes whose character is woefully exposed when then encounter quality opposition - Bollywood, the mafia, betting syndicates, politicians, and yes, the media, all have huge stakes. Don't be fooled by the odd win in places like Australia. Genuine sporting nations like Australia are good at EVERY sport they play - cricket, hockey, football, tennis, you name it. Indians have only proven that they can milk the game commercially. 5 Test wins on Aussie soil in 60 years tell the real story, all that hoopla about the Perth win and the 'historic' tri-series victory notwithstanding. By the way, how come each of India's wins is immediately eulogised as 'historic?' That's because there're so few of them in the first place! Truth be told, these so-called cricketing stars and superstars are little else than media-created 'heroes', each with his faithful band of hosanna-singers in the papers and idiot-box. Lack of ability to play genuine fast bowling on even a marginally sporting pitch has been the bane since 1932. No nation aspiring for a place in the global pecking order can afford this colossal waste of time, money and manhours.

U r correct. We play against good team and boast we are the best. Meanwhile our so called experts heap praise on these inconsistent fellows. And immediately against weak and not best teams we lose. Beating Aussies one or two tests cannot be rated as we are the best. Infact we win in a fluke as we don't have anything to lose against them. but with other teams our consistent weaknesses come out.

Seriously...India's win is termed historic only because 'India stopped Australia's record successive 17th win. Strange ! we boast of 1 win of ours against 16 consecutive win of others..India lost today because after the first tests hammering of SA ,our players might have got a call from Preity Zintas,Bipasha's,Katrina's and may be they all pub'd together in Bombay..hehe

well put! couldn't have said it any better. Like they said - hand them a featherbed and they score triple hundreds at will; give them an even wicket and they crumble like the losers they are.

Thanks..guys are listening and started using their bare intelligence to see through the fact sabout the fultility and waste of supporitng a game which to our shame can claim the most economically wasteful past time we ever had (except BCCI, Pepsi Coke and criketers). Fans have lost everuthing even their honour supporting a few good men (I admire you sachin's dravid's, kumble's) orchestratred by puppets and other dirty men in power and behind the scences..Stop this nonsense and make a collective effort to make cricket at best a fringe sport in India. I am one of the new generation and for me 2003 season was the end of support for this game..

Australian one day series was fixed as was T20 world championship. Aus series was fixed cos BCCI has big stakes in PCL, and T20 was fixed cos ICC knows highest viewerships (read as fools) is in India as hence the revenue. It was a bitter pill required after BCCI team go thrashed in world cup

India - hot air as always
by dev sak on Apr 05, 2008 08:13 PM  Permalink

Ha! So India were going to win the world! India bring back the honour from Australia! India are the topmost team! Ha!
India are just as the whole country is at the moment - hot air, self opinionated, self back slapping and just a bunch of fools - Manmohan Singh congratulates Shiela Dixit and says that she has made Delhi the cleanest and greenest city in the country. Well, by comparison maybe yes - when the rest of the country is filthier, smellier, more disorderly, badtameez and a whole lot of crooks.
And the Indian team are the same - a whole lot of fools who are making vast fortunes from mediocre cricket.
May they fry in Hell - India has no honour to loose!

One loss is not the end of road but more losses than wins indicate we are beyond it..
by Hari on Apr 05, 2008 08:12 PM  Permalink

The best thing to do is do not care any thing about the INdian cricket. For the most loyal fans Indian cricket has given them only heartbreaks all the while proclaiming their greatness (not to forget the pulluitng airwaves with cricket ads games or anything). We cant escape from the humiliation that not even a single year we could win 60 % of matches that we played. This shows Indian cricket team is as mediocre as it can get (pakistan is doing way better). So instead of supporting Indian team and lose heart and ruin your day seeing the lions capitulate against any opposition, stop the support of cricket and embrace other manly sports (F1, Football, Boxing etc) where apart from clubs we dont have to lose much. We can start with a fresh slate and (all millionaires out there) can nurutre and support some other game in which we can be world class. (Chess is one of them, tennis is another say in 10 years). Cricket is dead, let the other sports get their due. I am not a pessimistic soul, I loved cricket and sure cricket team will resurrect in some years, but with more than 15 years of following this game I havent seen the world beating Indian team which stands out in their game..Logically that will be the case even 20 years hence.

India's position
by Ariel Katz on Apr 05, 2008 08:07 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The result only shows that India's victory few and far between are flukes. We are known for mediocre display. One swallow does not make a summer. Cricket fanatics feel that we are No. 1. I hope they have woken up to the reality. SA without Pollock, Nel, LAngeveldt and Boje are still a force to reckon with.

SA humiliates India
by Bodh Ramdeo on Apr 05, 2008 08:02 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

'Humiliated' would be the ultimate understatement. And why keep blaming Dada - aren't there eleven players on the team? Accept the fact that the boys in team blue are bunch of big-mouthed, undisciplined, inconsistent losers - they beat their chests and preen when they win against minnows, but when up against real players like SA and Australia they crumble like dust.

I fully endorse your views..India only stopped the Australia's record winning spree. There is nothing to boast about it.If India was on their record 17th successive wins then there is room for party but stopping the Australians from that is nothing to boast about.Look at the way the Australians hammer us right from the ball 'go'. Our team members are busy posing with Preity Zintas,Bipashas whatsover

somehow pathan is never recognised..but we must appreciate his attitude, playing at all levels and doing his best. This way it is better better he stays from the lime lite which is only hype, and bettering the score, win and his records.Sachin miss sounds very conspicous.. after his O , quitely walked off , by not to spoil his records?? injured.. and gavaskar keeops backing up in the absense of him.. he would have scored well for India.. If only uncle had b.....s! story?good politico
