I am posting this becoz I know he reads rediff and he needs to know where he stands in minds of Indian people.

Y is that everybody blaming only the batsman? Even our pace bowlers looked terrible.. They also should be blamed.. Pathan is a bowling all-rounder, 1'st he should bowl well only 2'nd comes his batting, but has he ever managed to pick atleast a single wicket in this match!!
do u relize why sachin opted out.lafda hai team me.dhoni camp and senior camp me bati hui hai team.dono group ek dusre ko nicha dhikana cahte hai.and guess who is shakuni.yes...dada apka dada.he is taking revenge.apne apmaan ka.with india

Don't let imaginations run so wild. Are u present in the dressing room with the guys???
Its difficult to understand why Indian team cannot be consistent. Just one match earlier they have notched up unbelieavable runs & here they couldnt manage a 3 figure mark in first innnings. The match was almost lost there itself. I would say these guys need someone who can work on the mental frame & make them optimistic & not to be over confident.

i think it was poor preparation,no focus, over confidence, not learning from mistakes.people talked about 600 runs they scored in chennai, but important thing was they lost 9 wickets for 160 odd runs.did they really discussed this issue?doesn't seems to me,if it was then middle order could have batted much better in first innings.just comparing the lack of application with perth test on similar sort of wickets and this, things r worst for india at this time

More than mental frame,it is about hard work.Indian team should have been practicing before the second test but they were busy with their IPL promotion. How can anyone win after that?
Following are my keen observations about this test and Indian cricket in general : 1) The Indian pace bowling attack looks pedestrian in comparision to the SA bowling....we need some changes here and should think in terms of bringing back Munaf Patel or Praveen Kumar as they are accurate and can swing the ball..
2) Anil Kumble seems to be coming to the end of a glorious career...his spin wizardry seems to have left him and what we have today is just a run of the mill trundler...Cmon Anil, maybe it is time to go!!
3) IPL launches and bashes have made the players jaded and not in a sharp frame of mind...they need more time to recuperate between tests....
4) Never change a winning combo.... Lalu Rajput was a damn good coach who got us results and Kirsten was not required in the first place..
5) Some heads may roll if India lose this series and the first ones to go could be VVS and Dravid...ofcourse, i sincerely hope that the two of them get more chances but Jaffer needs to go..hopefully, Wasim has played his last test here...Call on Gambhir pls!!
6) BCCI seriously needs to look at Sachin's "injury"...is it really an injury or timeout before the IPL(Read : avoiding Steyn and company)
Out with the replies now guys...let the replies flood my post!!

Absolutely sound observations!!Keep it up. Only u missed out on the VC, Dhobi, he needs to rested now high time and Karthick included in his place. Look at Yuvi, he has a better record than Dhobi but still a couple of failures and he is warming the benches. Mohd Kaif is unable to find a place in the XI inspite of Sachin not playing.

Johnny Bhai, AAp ka visleshan bohot achha hai. But it looks like MBA student not like sportsman. Sports is not MBA its different from business management strategies. Kumbly's career is almost over but htis chap was sidelined during Saurav Dada time and he suffered lot of biases to rate below Bhajji. Sachin is also same case as Kumbley. Rahul has lost charm and garnered more money than hw would have dreamed for. same is case with Sehwag and Pathan. This is team of Indian Veterns. But BCCI and investors on their Advertisement want to encash the investment on them so far if they are kicked out they will loose billions of dollers invested into these over aged players so BCCI also want to continue because this brings investment into BCCI. And SHOW MUST GO ON.............

Good points. Specially number 4. What on earth is Gary Kirsten doing with the Indian team except disturbing spirit.
Problem is, ppl who run cricket and some ex cricketers like Shastri are some of the dumbest brains in the country (dats why they become cricketers in some cases, Sourav an exception).
Also, umpires sneaked in bad judgement at crucial points being overwhelmingly in favor of white nations. This, to me, takes all the sheen of the victory as you really dont know what Ganguly and Dhoni cud have achieved.
Dravid - the wallpaper, shud have been dropped in Chennai itself for slow century to show his parents. He is the dumbest cricketer in history.

The umpires were absolutely fair and spot on. It would be wrong to put the blame on them for this embarrassing reverse. In Ganguly's case, the snickometer suggested that there might have been a faint edge. In any case, one should never be swayed by a batsman's reaction to a dismissal. The Indians fought bravely no doubt but the Proteas should be commended for their win.

Sehwags was highly doubtful and Ganguly was not out. I dont know what snicko u saw. Bat hit ground after the ball had gone about 2 feet past the bat. I dont care abt win or lose. Who knows Ganguly and Dhoni cud even have saved the match
It is high time Indian team gets rid of Jaffer and Dhobi and bring Gautam Gambhir and Karthick in their place. Dhobi is surviving inspite of a string of failures since the 76 he made at London almost a year back just because u cannot remove the test VC. Jaffer, thanx to the Mumbai lobby and Sharad Pawar. A player like Kaif is warming the benches while Sehwag has played a knock enough to carry him for the next 10 test matches between 0-25 scores. RP Singh and Irfan Pathan both need to be rested. Anyways the series is now well and truly lost, bcoz Kanpur wicket has always been high scoring draws.

Mr.Ganguly Fan I Can UnderStand Ur Frusatration, Did Rahul Claim or Tell This World That He will Start Batting Like Sehwag, He Has Played Like This In His Entire Career, His Job is that of Sheet Anchor i,e. to hold the Innings Together, He Played The Role of Sheet Anchor in Chennai to Perfection, if He Would Have Got Out Cheaply in Chennai, India Would Have Lost That Test Match As Well in Chennai.?????????????????????/
RE:Kick out Dravid

Don't kid yourself. Sheet anchor's role is to score runs at a descent strike rate, not fast. The way Dravid was struggling at Chennai was apparent. He was lucky that it was a flat wicket, or else we all know what would have happened. His below par performance started from the DLF Cup in September 2006, and it continues till now. His average have dropped below 55. It's currently 54.92

Since the DLF Cup 2006, Dravid have hardly won any games for India. You can check it out on Cricinfo. He have been a deadwood in the team since September 2006.

Agree with U Mac, Dravid has always held the innings together but he is clearly lacking self confidence after being chucked out from captaincy and has become unusually slow. Previously he used to play slow but remain unbeaten till the end, nowadays he just consumes balls without scoring and then gets out too at crucial junctures. However all credit for 10000 runs and no doubt he was once a great batsmen
SRK and Lalit Modi will Destroy Cricket, The Main Motive of IPL is Note:Entertainment, Sport and Cricket is About Passion and Performance, But By Selling The Cricket Teams to Movie Stars and Buisness Men, The Destruction of Cricket Has Started.

Mac got it spot on...Bollywood already sets India's morals, and we can see the spurt in rapes and murders and child abuse...the Islamic mafia's control over Bollywood means subtle Islamic messages in most movies, with one or two Allah song in each...dramatic enactment of caste prejudices and denigration of Hindus or ridicule of Hindu worship. Then you have Bollywood heavyweights like Mahesh Bhatt, Shabana Azmi, making political statements, crying over Muslim persecution but never what happens to Hindus in Bangladesh, or Pak or even the expulsion of Hindus/Sikhs from Afghanistan...Bollywood is a testimony to India's cultural openness of course, but keep its do gooder inhabitants in check..most have dubious intentions.
