After 1983 WC Wi came to india and they won both the series. It was a complete white wash!!!
after ICL ,SCL ( SONY CRICKET LEAGUE), SSCL( STAR SPORTS CRICKET LEAGUE), AND MCL ( MAHENDRA CRICKET LEAGUE) WIIL BE LAUNCHED SOON, BCOZ ACC TO KAPIL IT IS PRIVATE CRICKET LEAGUE HAVE NO PROBLEM IF THEY R PROVIDING A PLATFORM TO PLAYERS, ALSO, I WOULD WANNA HIRE THE PEOPLE OF ICL AS THEY HIRED THE BCCI'S PLAYERS IN MCL.

Try it know! Thats what Kapil Paaji also is saying give platform to players who wants to play and perform. Then there would be enough bench strength and we donot have to depend on 10 players only always. It would keep all the players on their toes and not allow them to be complacent.

no problem in making money , but the way ICL did this was wrong, also IPL is also doing mistakes by selling the players in Auction, and sending the players to play for diff. cities ,like Ishant & Bhajji

Nothing wrong much. If they are playing just for money, what difference does this make wheether they play for Delhi or Jhumritalaiya?

BCOZ it is a private cricket league run by a billionaire for whom it is a game of money and nothing else, remember a child cannot have two parents at a time ,similarly Cricket cannot have two bodies simultaneously, why Kapil is fearful abt their players for representing India, actually he is saying that BCCI shud keep the players of ICL in his team, to play 4 India, it means he accepts that playing 4 BCCI means that players r playing 4 their country also

The matter is already before the Supreme Court. Wait for the verdict. By the way, who has given authority to BCCI to represent India as 'Indian' Cricket Team?

We, the cricket watchers. If we see ICL tournament more than IPL, they will represent us in International level.
The way the game of cricket is going,it can no longer be called as Sport. It can be called as an entertaining industry and all the players can be called as entertainers. Cricket can no longer be called as Gentleman's game. With the auction of the players by several corporates and entertainers, the players have become a commodity and they carry a price tag.
There is always a link between cricketers and entertainers as both need them for various reasons.
There was a time when the real sportsmen and women were happy with the medals they get at the International Meets. But the cricketers are not happy with the Medals if it is not accompanied with a fat cheque.
A case in point is the Indian Cricket Team participating in the Commonwealth Games few years back when cricket was introduced. Simultaneously a Masala Match with big money was also held in Toronto. Our cricketers were more interested in Masala match rather than the Commonwealth Games as it involved only Medal and they had to stay in the Commonwealth Games village sharing rooms. The cricketers are accustomed to Five star Hotel facility and if they are asked to stay in games Village, how can they stay?.

everybody in sports aim for a good living after they are done with sports, because none of the sports people who have done us proud have been recognised and has been protected by any state government. so why should they refuse when they are offered and mind you they are paid so much only for their talent and nothing else. smart cricketers of yesteryears have started commentating so that they can keep earning for their life time like Gavaskar, Shastri etc, but what about other greats like vishwanath,Madanlal, etc. which govt is supporting them for them to say no to the money that are coming from other sources. so broaden your mind
RE:CRICKET-AN ENTERTAINING INDUSTRY

It is not even entertainment. It is a SLAVE GAME where players are "auctioned"! What a shame!!!!
Now Kapil is feeling that ICL is a Lala's board, who is just washing his hands in flowing ganga, he knows that BCCI is a authorised body by ICC and if player will play for BCCI then it means he will play for India, bcoz BCCI is a parental body, which runs Test Matchs and One day International also, which is not possible for ICL. Here ,it doesn't mean that IPL has no disadvantage, lot of problems r also in IPL , first Ishant is playing for kolkata, Bhajji is for Mumbai, how they will play against Delhi and Chandigarh, it is matter of question, i think every player shud play for his city or his state, also it is not fare to sell the players in Auction, players are not the saleable things, as stated by Rahul Dravid.

why should ICC only become governing body of cricket ? What they did to Mike Procter for his excessive and biased decision ? What they did to Symonds ?
Why you expect such a biased body only to control world cricket ?
Whats wrong if some other body like International Cricket League (ICL) controls world cricket ?
What you are going to loose if ICC loose its charm and ICL controls world cricket making cricket better and unbiased, also holding its charm as gentleman's game ?

Where was ICL when there was no money in Cricket,Where was ICL when cricketers was not so rich, no sponsership was there,Who came first in Cricket , ICC & BCCI OR ICL, there when Subhash Chandra saw that there is lot of money in Cricket and he can earn lot of money from it, he made ICL, also BCCI and ICC are not a one man show, these are the governing bodies, in BCCI, in every 2 yrs, there r elections for presidents, nobody is the owner of BCCI as in the case of ICL where only Subhash Chandra is the boss, owner of the whole body

@ Mahendra
why you think its not possible for ICL to run 50 over matches and test matches ? If u really following cricket and have any news about it, then only try to comment or debate in public blogs inspite of killing others time unnecessarily.
ICL has already successfully hosted 50 overs tournament, that also won by Chennai Superstars team. ICL also going to host 4day test matches (like in Ranji). ICL is only 1 year old.
If you have patience just wait and see instead of barking. else just mind your business. Stop bashing ICL.

Mr.Mahendra,
We agree with you that BCCI is the parent body for cricket in India. But how can they use the name of the country while they maintain that they are not a governmental body like any other sports body/. Reason out please.....????

isme kya april phool ki baat hai bhai, uska ladka to us main kel raha hai to woh nahin jaa sakta kya??? dekhtey raho yeh bhi hoga hahahahahah
Kapil is so blinded by big money that he is losing all ethics. He repeatedly asks "Tell me if I am doing anything wrong and I will stop". No one can make a blind man see the bull and no one can make a fool see he is wrong. Kapil was always blunt in his playing days. Now combined with greed for money, he is losing respect he earned as a cricketer and World Cup winning captain. BCCI is a India govt recognized and ICC approved body. If Kapil can start ICL, n number of private entities can start n number of leagues. The funny part is ICL is doomed and Kapil and his investors do not see that yet. If they are really conerned about sportsmen getting chance and improving standards, why dont they start a hockey league?? Challenging a corrupt IHF would be a good service to the nation. People enjoy establishment being challenged - hence the support for ICL now. Once they see the real reason for the league and its effect on cricket, they will start puking over ICL matches. Finally, can anyone provide and example of any other league in any other sport involving professionals that is run by private people and not a sports governing body?? Open your eyes India.

Guys u should say well done to Kapildev that he dared to say something to BCCI's monopoly, which never been happened, as this is Kapil's quality he does the things which others cannot as so he won the worldcup consider it. which tendulkars, dravids, Gangulys couldnot do.
It seems u have been appointed by BCCI to talk all this rubbish, distorted facts. Keep it up Kapil-ur challenge to the monopoly of BCCI will definitely change Indian cricket for better.

BCCI is a private agency that works as a board and got a registration from indian gov and same as ICL, and if all are supporting ICL that also will become one of the board that supply players for Indian team from India. Like the same way how english Premire league works out.

No one on the forum should mind your words. We can understand the problem your parents created in their TIMEPASS.
WOW, these are the same guys, when they represented Pakistan, they always had huge AEGO clashes within the team and almost never gave there 100% (except for a couple of exceptions). Look what these jokers are playing now that they have been thrown out the pakistan team.
