hellow arjun. vengi is against seniors, so shoaib has no chance even in ind. ok he can mary sania n bcome her tennis coach.
but even otherwise, he was a waste on his talent, never performed to his potential. pcb has debarred shoaib from playing in pak. but has stated that he can play ipl. so good luck to shoaib and y not icl. shoaib akhtar can play both ipl and icl bcoz he is not a contracted player from pak. but even god cant predict pak ckt, as last year, shoaib was banned for 2 yrs but the decision was revoked by them. so even this 5 yr ban may b an eyewash by pcb. within a month, they vl backtrack. but one thing is sure, both bcci n pcb r running their business headed by autocratic goons.

It is unfortunate that he has been banned. No player is above the integrity of the team and the image of the game itself.
Will he be allowed to keep his commitments for the Calcutta Knight Riders?
This is so unfortunate. Shoaib is such a wonderful bowler and he would have been the all time best had it not been for these controversies. Even though I am an Indian, I wish he gets back in the Pakistan team. I guess the only way this can happen is when Pakistan decides to play India, then they field their best team. Even out of form /banned players come back in the team. For cricket's sake, I wish this should happen...BRING BACK SHOAIB!!!

This is not a matter of playing good or bad, its matter of decency of the sportmanship. I think this a great decision against grave errors of players who take the spirit of games for granted.

true. but he never played to his potential. he was good in his initial years, but though superfast, was wayward n so ineffective in the end. i remember him bowling express yorker to sachin getting him clean bowled on his very first ball at the crease (at banglare in 1999?)
Undoubtedly a very talented fast bowler, Shoaib Akther shot to fame as "Rawalpindi Express". He was the first bowler to cross 100mph mark. He was successful in the beginning and later he was plagued by injuries and controversies. Fitness was his problem besides his attitude. He was a rebel by nature and was averse to dogmas and traditions. So he rebelled against the establishment time and again on some pretext or the other. His relationship with his team mates was far from satisfactory. He was not in good terms with the then Captain Inzamam and later kicked fast bowler Asif. He had a tiff with other players too. He did not spare the PCB officials and was quick to criticise them at the drop of a hat. Fame and money have gone over his head. He became reckless and arrogant naturally. He was dropped intermittently from the team but that has not taught him any lesson. He could not mend himself nor the insult had taught him manners. All these have affected his performance and he was not the old self devastating fast bowler. Adding salt to the wounds, he was banned for five long years. That means that is the end of his career unless revoked by a court order. The bottom line is he is suffering from some psychological disease called OCD and he needs some rehabilitation in a centre meant for this purpose. I dont say he is a Psycho type but short of it. Or else who could be repeating such mistakes after mistakes unless there is basically something wrong with him and his character.

whatever he is, he never respected the game that gave him bread and butter...
He thinks he is above the game and needs to introspect his life!!!
RE:Welcome Shoaid SRK is Waiting For U???????????????/

yes SRK is an id*ot..Shoib will NOT play most of the IPL matches as he will get injured or due to his temperamant..SRK will bowl then
Why can't BCCI & other boards also pass some resolutions to buy/transfer players from one country to another. It is possible that one player may have unmendable relations with certain officials/team mates, and thus may not be in a position to contribute positively, however a change in enviornment(country) by changing the team itself may be beneficial to the concerned parties involved and even the game itself!
Imagine Shoaib being bought by another board - any board and then steaming in to crash on the helmets of his former mates. What a sight it would be, with all the human drama~!

The real reason for this punishment is shaoib's out-of-tune singing on Indian television!
Porki Board members were annoyed that they weren't given an opportunity to appear on Indian television where they could butcher songs sung by the legendary Kishore Kumar!!
