IS DHONI A GREAT CAPTAIN ?.....
by alok gautam on Sep 27, 2007 05:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dhoni has done a great job by motivating team and capturing world cup.He is strugling with his batting from some time and for leading team from front it is important to make some runs also otherwise no team member will tolrate dhoni captancy. And above all let see how he will handle TRIMURTI.So it is too early to say dhoni "a great captain"....

Let us see how Dada perform against Brett Lee and Company. Actually it was Dravid's performance in last ODI series against England that gave sleepless nights to Dada's fans. He had the highest strike rate in that series and scored more runs than Dada fyi :-)

He was the deputy of Dravid fyi. This means that a lot of decisions in the past were taken by Dhoni and Dravid together.

John Wright, the coach of India, took the catch that prevented Tendulkar from becoming the youngest centurion in Test cricket. :(

Such an over-rewarding.

Such an over rewarding for oneupmanship by BCCI. BCCI could have developed at least 2 cricket academies with this money.

Nothing to blame BCCI
by summer on Sep 27, 2007 05:00 PM  Permalink

BCCI can not ignore their basic responsibilities. Mumbai is HQ, first landing, and near to Bangalore. Any leader from New Delhi being real fan of cricket should travel and see first match as a tribute to cricket sport, even for one hour.

Tendu spoke the same minute when India won on CNN-IBN - if you didn't watch don't make hue and cry....But Dravid needs to speak - which didn't happen till now - wonder why former Indian captain is silent...

The idea is to put two sets of teams because of continuous schedule to avoid fatigue in most of players. Those with extra endurance may play throughout the year.

venkatesh prasad was the bowling coach

All the fake stories are proved wrong that we need only forigh coach.
venky did a good job as bowling coach because that was our weak area and it came out strong in the games.

Well said. We need good coach, who can go along with our players. irrespective of indian or foreign coach.
I think indian is enough. But should be professional and good in stratergies and should know the weekness of the opposition and strength of ours.

That is all we need.

Hats of to Venky.
