India win made crores of Indians happy.

This sadistic author just can't put up with people every where being happy.

He wants people to feel miserable about themselves. And we are supposed to feel guilty about happiness.

This kinda bonehead pessimist makes always people around them miserable. I feel pity for his wife and children.

In hockey, India has won the World Cup only once in 3rd World Cup in 1975. It was placed second in the 2nd World Cup in 1973 & was placed 3rd in 1st World Cup in 1975. Since 1975, India has not even reached the semifinals of any World Cup Hockey. Even in the Olympics, India has not won any medals since 1988. Since 1988, it has not even qualified for semi finals. Since 2000, it has failed to even qualify for Olympics. Only this year, because of Asia Cup victory where India beat South Korea 7-2, India has qualified for Olympics next year.

Sreesanth "could" have dropped the catch, I agree. But did he? Speculations can go to any level. If Robin Uthappa would have caught that very difficult chance, Misbah would have been out long back & 5 runs margin would be 15-25-35 run margin. If Virendra Sehwag was not injured against Australia, then he would have played & he would have scored a double ton. Can I speculate this as well? If you can speculate that much, maybe I can. If wishes were horses, then beggars would be king.

Hypocrisy
by Kumar Vaidyanathan on Sep 27, 2007 12:52 PM  Permalink

Harsha reveals himself when he writes lines like "I had a rare privilege to have one-on-one breakfast with Allan Border, Australian captain.". When people like Harsha treats this as rare privilege then there absolutely nothing wrong in people standing on the road & cheering the winners. Let him first clear out his "conditioned mind" of treating one boring criketer as greatest person to have the priviege of "one-in-one breakfast" and to write and advise others.

Why Cricket ?
by Vishnu Vishwanath Shastry on Sep 27, 2007 12:36 PM  Permalink

Enjoying Cricket is better than watching Hindi Movies and worshipping Big Bores like Bachhan who are mere actors. Cricket and Cricket are real. Following Cricket helps you in many ways because of highly technical nature of the game and real life situations can be taccked easily by grawing strategies from Cricket. It isthe best form of entertainment and extremely helpful for National Integration. No Hidnu wishes that Harbhajan on Pathan should failat crucial juncture in a match.
