Nice way to start another communal flareup at Rediff.
WHY every chief minister is giving so much money (taxpayers money) when BCCI is already giving lot of money. This money given by Chief ministers could have been utilized for poors. Chief ministers of Gujrath and Tamil Nadu (rediff has not mention for that) have done right thing by not following other for getting cheap publicity. Rediff please stop being so anti BJP.

I agree, People should aware of this kind of article & Should think about it.
Today this news is also publish in TOI ahmedabad issue, describing that only because of muslims pathan bothers are not rewarded, Actually This paper is PURELY Congress party paper, . Actually If Mudi announce reward for pathan brothers, All Birudhi n TOI will publish reward because of muslims votter for upcoming election, I think MUDI is a Great leader, he mush think more then other political party for reward of Pathan brothers,
When i see such attitude from our leaders it disgusting to be the least, on one hand we have the Pseudo secular congress and on the other the pseudo right BJP with Narendra modi as one of thier pin ups. it is a sad state of affairs in our country which boasted of leaders of the calibre of Mahatma Gandhi Nehru Sardar Patel Govind Vallab Panth Indira Ghandhi Lal Bhadur Shastri PV Narshimha Rao etc.
please for gods sake put your foot down where it has to be put not where it is politically correct or rewarding.
Im a staunch Hindu too but for me Irfan pathan's success does not personify pakisthan's success like its stupid captain feels like which is propogated by his utterance " he sorry to all muslims all over the world" for me it personifies India's success my country's success it is to vast majority of Indians.
I request our leaders to rise above their pettiness for our beloved country's sake because it is our home our mother in a way please don't ruin it or malign it for small time success.
Is any of these CM has given money out of their own pockets. why need to pour money to these cricketers when they are earning so much from sponsorers,advts., etc. Instead awarding them why don't these politicians give this money to poor farmers who are commiting suicides. Why did u always curse Modi?

thats not the point. even if the CM had givena token amount it wd have been good. and gujarat is idnias richest state...the CM has not even congratulated them. shows his views...and/or his party's

Dude I agree with you, lots of ppl are there starving for food, electricity and etc in India(farmers). Y cant this govt or ppl not thinking about those things.
Its the players who worked hard and they have been rewarded with the cup and obivously money will flow thru sponsers and adv.

Modi's non-responsiveness reflects his inner character. He is a person who is not concerned of national pride and glory. When every state govt is showering lacs of ruppees on our national heroes then how can Modi ignore Irfan who has bowled so magnificently in the finals.
Its really a shame on Modi who puts politics on top of the nation
All Indians are proud of the Indian teams victory, but why the Public money is spent for the team members, as BCCI, the private body pays ransom amount to the team . The Chief Ministers from the concerned states offered lakhs of Rupees to the players from the Public fund, which is a waste, since the cricket players are already rich. My sincere request is that same money can used for the other good purposes those who are suffering a lot. Why same importance is not given the other games/players those who are poor.
