It is most unfortunate the media has been acting to fuel communalism, by writing such news stories. I feel most of the time it is journalists who are more dirty in their mind and thought to bring out such comment. Who so ever is the peson he is not to be callled Indian. God Please forgive him.
Money should not be paid at all since the BCCI has already paid enough month and only some lack of rs dos't make difference but you might All Agree At least " A Word of appreciation Has to be there " from the Tamilnadu and Gujrat CM for Dinesh Kartic and Pathan Brothers
Its time for jubiliation for winning the twenty twenty worldcup.we should rely on modi's cash award as aware he is a hardcore hindutva personality and why we should expect any award or praiseworthy remarks,as you know all the world have acknowledged the efforts of indian team for winning the worldcup so why we shaould await for few penny's from Mr.modi. So The crickets you have already repeated the 1983 history so dont get carriedaway by greedy politicians who would like to derive political advantage from your herioc image. Alas & beware!

As long as people like you keep writing this kind of mischievous articles, there can not be unity in this country. So called secularists are biggest enemy of India. In fact Bengali,Malyali Commies and Con(gress) men are finding it difficult to digest popularity (Earned on the basis of solid work) of Sri Modi!

Rediff will lose its name by publishing this kind of provocative and meaningless articles writen by some narrow minded crookes. A few state governments have announced some awards to their players. This does not mean all are bound to do it. What about Shewag and Gambhir who have performed so well? Has their CM announced any award? Is the CM a hindu or a muslim? What about Karthik, Shreeshant?? Does Agarkar deserve an award? Now we throw money to the players for one world cup win and then we throw stones at them and thier houses when they perform badly. Let us wait and look for some consistent performance. Let us not forget that Australia has won three consecutive world cups!! This is consistency. Definitely hats off to the young Indian team for their achievement, but we also look forward to somce consistency. May I request the media not to provoke unnecessarily regionl and communal sentiments?

Itis really sad taking modi for ride.Since the players are making crores money good money fron bcci, sponsers ,advertisers etc.
we are all appreciating and congrtulating the indian team victory but instead of paying the tax money to to fancy cricketers let the govt will pay the well being of poor people.
