agreed that Irfan played very well but Yusuf did not have significant contribution to India's victory. Thank God that he did not mess up in the one over he got to bowl in the final.

Agarkar has political connections. He could get anything! Don't u know this? If not just ponder, what and who keeps him in the team.

What did Agarkar get the 10 lakhs for ? For being a flop show ? The BCCI should not have paid him a penny. His performance was pathetic...
Prasanna Zore is trying to create ire amongst the public by stating his stupid view on Modi. The state exchequer is not meant to disburse like unwanted things. The players are even otherwise rewarded much more than what they deserve, why the state governments misusing the public money to make these players more-and-more affluent. If these bloody CMs are interested only in cricket, then they should gift their own money; else get contributions from their fellow politicians, who amassed unaccountable wealth by sucking poor people blood. In this nation, crores of people are starving for even one time meal; whereas these politicians want to spend for extravaganzas.
I know that I will get abuses from those square peg in a round hole.
Well, you are obssessed with narendra modi, you do not have any issue to target him, be matured man!. So what if he is not given any money. This cricket players are becoming richer and richer at the cost of comman man. Plese do not post this type of unmutured, non related, and nonsense articles.

While I don't particularly like this Nero for hs attitude towards fellow Indians, I have been a great admirer of how he runs the administration and his progressive approach in leading Gujarat. He has done the right thing by not announcing anything for the cricketers who are anyway rich. Secondly, we must all remember that none of the cricketers (unlike in other sports) represent India. They represent a private body called the BCCI. When India wins any prize money, does the Government get any money....not a single penny. Congrats Modi for not being a gimmick player like other CMs
Not sure if the article is praising or criticizing Narendra Modi ..but what have these guys achieved that awards have to given from the govt. funds ?Nothing that great , it is a 20-20 tournament thats all where anything can happen!!Other CMs haven't gifted a penny from their pockets ..it is the hard earned money of the common man which has been distributed to people who already have got lots. No one cares about winners in other sports like hockey , football(we won Nehru cup recently ), Chess (Vishy is No. 1 from a long time ) , TT , Tennis , etc...Only mantra is criticize when team plays badly and over do things when they win ..Afterall they owed this to the nation for their dismal performance in the WC. We are stil not World Champions , no comparisons with Australia please !! It is just a baby format of the game called cricket .. Spare a thought about the jawaans who die for the nation , they get a 1Lakh award and a medal thats it if they are lucky that too. Homes , crores of rupees will do them good since their family have lost an earning member ..Wonder how much HD Kumarasamy gave Col. Vasanth's family when he died fighting for the nation , it was not in the headlines too ..but cricketers dancing and pouring champaigne over the national flag is Breaking News these days !! Wonder what has gone wrong with the media , they seem to cover anything and everything which is not required .Will common man get a rebate in IT since India won 20-20 WC ? Mr. FM , we want an answer ..

Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik's statement at the ICC World Twenty20 award ceremony after the final has sparked off controversy and outrage among viewers who were glued to their television sets on Monday.
In the midst of celebrations in the Indian camp, what ruffled feathers was Malik's comment, which was not seen by many as being in good taste.
At the award ceremony, Malik thanked Muslims all over for their support to the team on a day when two Indian Muslims were part of the victorious team and one of them was declared the Man of the Match.
"I want to thank everyone back home in Pakistan and Muslims all over the world. Thank you very much and I'm sorry that we didn't win, but we did give our 100 per cent," Malik said at the presentation ceremony, after losing to India by five runs in the final of the inaugural Twenty20 World Championships in Johannesburg.
Eminent columnist BG Verghese told CNN-IBN that Malik's post-match remarks were uncalled for. "I think it is sad that he made that statement. The Pakistan team played very well. It was a hard-fought contest, very sporting, but somewhat spoiled at the end by an unnecessary comment, which tends to bring about a communal polarisation."
"It seemed to suggest the state of mind, the fear of reactions at home for all the wrong reasons. It is really unfortunate of him to have made that reference. Muslims of the world have nothing to do with t
