The team has made India proud. Yes we must congratulate them, reward them and celebrate. However by announcing cash rewards by the States for the respective players of their state we are regionalising the great sport of cricket which lest anyone forgets is a team game. Let us treat cricket as a team game and let the sports authority regulating the sport announce rewards. Rewards given by the respective states to the players of their state is not in keeping with ONE INDIA. States wanting to contribute their might should hand over their contributions to the sports authority regulating the sport for distribution to the entire team which will benefit ALL the members of the team which has very courageously played as a Team Indian without regional bias. The writer's anti-Modi stance is palpable. Where is the need to be hasty? How can one authoritatively aver that Narendra Modi is not going to reward the Pathan brothers? Earlier similar partisan writers like Prasanna Zoro went on air to broadcast that Modi was ignoring Sunita Williams. But in reality, what happened later on? Modi shared the university dais with Sunita Williams and extended her a warm invitation to visit Gujarat every year. While I don't say that the other chief ministers were hot, impetuous and impulsive in announcing their rewards on the spur of the moment, I would like to say that Narendra Modi is cool and purposive; he would definitely confer due desserts on the Pathan duo. Hats off to the Pathan siblings and to the entire cricket team, including the supporting contingent.
I believe so. Mr. Modi is probably the only sensible CM not to have announced any award (though reasons unknown). C'mon these players anyways are likely to get atleast 20-30 lakh from BCCI's announcement of 8 crores. Plus they also get match fees which mught translate close to 5 lakh of rupees only for the T20 world cup. Even if the CM's give those cash awards, I am sure they do not have a corpus fund from where they give this. They are giving it from our contributions. Why waste money. Instead the same contributions can be made to the flood hit areas of their state or for any other sensible reason. Hats off to you Mr. Modi.

yes, the muslims are very civilized, 12 year old kiling people and getting video taped, killing in the name of god, bamiyan budhha, innumerable temples destroyed, forced conversions, calling india dar-ul-harb, vengeful lowdown S C U M, living in ghettoes all over the world, cant live in peace wehether they r in majority or minority. disgraceful..
gujarat is an industrialized state where there is ample scope for business, there is electricity unlike states like UP Bihar that play votebank politics.. s h i t t y states with no accountability to the feelings and aspiration s of its citizens, i bet thats where u come from.
