It is tempting to speculate why Modi hasn't taken a cue from chief ministers across the country - but why bother, when the reason is as plain as the nose on the chief minister's face? - Mr. Writer, dont you feel ashamed to make such a cheap comment. Its the media who always creates or escalate problems and your comment is ample proof of that. Sreesanth hails from Kerala and how many rewards has Kerala's chief minsiter given him. Do you have any reason for this. You have so conviniently forgotten or ignored this cause you dont have a reason. Sitting at home after gulping 2-3 pegs, its so easy to find such cheap reasons for incidents like this. Rediff, why do you publish such cheap articles. I thought this was a site with some standard.

Why should we expect Mr. Modi to give money to Irfu & his bro`? Already these cricketers are paid more than there caliber by BCCI plus they earn even more thro` commercials plus they get highly paid goverment jobs plus all other facilities. Infact I think the players who have received money from their respective CM`s should return back the money & ask them to use it for some substantial cause. Already Mr. Modi`s state was on fire due to some not-to-be-discussed reason, again by making such statesments don`t you think you are (may be unknowingly) giving support and tempting to all those people who actually should be called in-humans, as the people who do such things have no religion. But such statements can surely boost up the morals of those inhumans. So please guys do not make such statements which might create misunderstandings between religions/communities. Expect the Governments and also the cricketers to use the money for some substantial cause. We all are proud be Indians but should we not try to become proud SENSIBLE INDIANS. Also one request, can`t we use some decent language for debating.
Cricketers are getting so much from BCCI, big companies. Now even Govt. is giving to them, they should give it to other needy fellows. Indian Hockey team lifter the Asia cup. How much had they been given and facilitated. This is called "murkhata"(stupidity). This is why despite of all talent India fails to do good in all spehere. Some smartness is also required.

Can anybody give me the figure the Indian Hockey team received after the Asia chamipionship recently held in Chennai.
Not sure if the article is praising or criticizing Narendra Modi ..but what have these guys achieved that awards have to given from the govt. funds ?Nothing that great , it is a 20-20 tournament thats all where anything can happen!!Other CMs haven't gifted a penny from their pockets ..it is the hard earned money of the common man which has been distributed to people who already have got lots. No one cares about winners in other sports like hockey , football(we won Nehru cup recently ), Chess (Vishy is No. 1 from a long time ) , TT , Tennis , etc...Only mantra is criticize when team plays badly and over do things when they win ..Afterall they owed this to the nation for their dismal performance in the WC. We are stil not World Champions , no comparisons with Australia please !! It is just a baby format of the game called cricket .. Spare a thought about the jawaans who die for the nation , they get a 1Lakh award and a medal thats it if they are lucky that too. Homes , crores of rupees will do them good since their family have lost an earning member ..Wonder how much HD Kumarasamy gave Col. Vasanth's family when he died fighting for the nation , it was not in the headlines too ..but cricketers dancing and pouring champaigne over the national flag is Breaking News these days !! Wonder what has gone wrong with the media , they seem to cover anything and everything which is not required .Will common man get a rebate in IT since India won 20-20 WC ? Mr. FM , we want an answer ..
I am amazed to see the public support for such activities. It is great that the Indian team won the world cup, but this behaviour of the CMs is in line with the Rajas & Maharajas of the old times.
CMs are not Rajas or Maharajahs. Whos money are they spending ?
They can gift their personal money as gift to anyone they like, but this kind of un-checked tax money spending is insane.
Indian players are NOT under-paid. The BCCI will and does compensate them well.
I am not a big fan of Modi and I am not sure what his motivations are but I do not believe that it is right for a CM to shell out TAX money when there are other genuine and more pressing needs within the state.

You mean Shirishant bhi kerla cheif minister ki ankho main khatakta hai because he didnt got anything as well.Also he has only mentioned 7 players what about other 8 because they didnt got anything as well from their respective states.Wo bhi unke cheif minister ki ankho main khatakte hai. bloody fool
Yes all the media r against modi but why u r not pointing your fingers against karunanidi healso doesnt do anything for dinesh karthik or robin singh- so media wants to show that modi is against muslims and dont want to show karunanidi's bad gesture bec he is part of UPA..too bad

Dinesh Kartik does not get anything because he is a Brahmin. Robin Singh does not get anything because he prays to Lord Ram. Similarly, V. Anand was not received at the airport by karunanadi or his cronies, whereas banned athelete shanti is given 20 lakhs and received at the airport. Of course, its another matter that shanti was stripped of her medal !!!
