Why should cricketers get paid more? They anyway make a lot of money. Modi is right in not giving any awards. In fact the money made by cricketers, filmstars, etc should be taxed at a special rate of 60% so that the wealth can be distributed better. Let the rich not get richer.
First of all I would like to confess I am not a admirer of Modi. But I feel its sensible not to make cash rich cricket to award free gift. I think other minister should follow the same and should use the money for some novel causes. Also I think website like rediff should be sensible not to publish any article as this may create communal bias.
Why to dump modi for everything??.. Recently done consensus have proved that gujarath is the second country showed recruiting muslims in stategovernment in highest percentage where as andhra pradesh government is in first place. The above said states are in laast position. Some people they dont show they just do it.. Narendra Modi had habbit of doing things not talking things...
Look into his state Gujarath can any other state in country can beat it in industrialization ? The way they govt operate is giving tremendous growth for that state. The remaining knows how to politicise things...

This is really amazing biased journalizm. beating modi for no reason. Yes, he has not declared award, but neither do sheela dixit has for gambhir and sehwag.
I feel there are bigger issues than awards for cricketers that should appear on front page of rediff.
Why only Modi, even Karunanidhi and Sheila Dixit have yet not offered anything for their state players......Rediff just wants to get the divide based on Communal grounds....SHAME to Rediff
