GIVE THESE PLAYERS STATE AWARDS, BUT MONEY TO RANJI AND LESSER PLAYERS TO INSPIRE THEM TO BECOME DHONIS AND YUVARAJS!
by Kabeer on Sep 26, 2007 02:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

These achievers are going to make millions in endorsements. The States need not gie them monetary rewards. They can show their acknowledgement and appreciation in form of State Awards but reserve their money for some budding Ranji players so that you can have more Dhonis and Yuvrajs.

Remember it is tax payers money. The State CMs can earmark this precious resource for some lesser glamourous sports which do not get corporate sponsorships.

P.Gopichand has become an ALL England champion which is recognised as a world championship. I don'e know how much the AP GOvt and the GOvt of India gave to him. Remember he is such a principled man he refused to endorse Coke and Pepsi as consumption of these soft drinks would actually bad for children and youngsters' health and also for all sportspersons. Actually, he lost quite a huge money by refusing to endorse them. Give this money for someone like him. He is the only man who won this coveted championship after the great Prakash Padukone who too was not as well treated as he deserves.

Give this money for budding athletes so that you can have more PT Ushas. If you look at their earnings it is pitiable for the kind of hardwork and performance they put up given their mediocre facilities provided to them.

These CMs are in fact are garnering the spotlight on them by giving their tax payers money on these billionaires in waiting! Dhoni's endorsements before he was appointed as captain was an awesome 21 Cr. WHy does he need your mon

Modi is Correct
by sanuj krishnan on Sep 26, 2007 02:30 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Whatever Modi did is correct. When Suhaib Malik
gave a controversial statement in the final nobody was ready to oppose him.Now every body is going against Modi.Instead of giving these amount of money to players we can use this money to erradicate Proverty. And the team who won the final is not India's team ,BCCI's team.
BCCCI is an independent boady ,not related to
Indian Government anyway.

Surprisingly, Sohail Malik assumed leadership of ALl Muslims in the world! Don't know whose sanction he has obtained. He has reduce Islam's greatness to winning or losing a cricket match. Islam's greatness is much bigger to get affected by a bunch of 11 winning or losing a match to another.

He is a child ignore him as such. If you pay attention to it then you are confirming that Irfan Patahn by winning MOM award made Islam proud-an argument as silly as that of Shoaib.

Perhaps, Shoaib was assured a role in the next forthcoming elections in Pak by Gen. Musharraf-Apparently he is talking to him at the beginning of every match. I have a feeling by talking to him before every match Musharraf actually made Shoaib a nervous wreck as he came across in the presentation ceremony. What this idiot seemed to forget was his country was just defeated but not disgraced-a fact actually, he can be proud of.
