it's really pathetic....why u rediff people showing these articles. why do a state need to felicitate these crickete's. we all proud about their achievements but they r already eaning so much through ads and othe sources. why do we need to give tax-payers money. and thee r few people who r crying because pathans are muslims. otherwise nobody including ediff would have ver talked about it.......this is reallly stinking.....

What a Shame
by Holy Angels on Sep 26, 2007 02:44 PM  Permalink

When many people are suffering from want of water and basic needs the chief ministers are spending government money to make rich people richer. Also, I wonder how much of this money is paid. No wonder Gujarat is the best destination for business. Keep it up Modi.

MODI MASALA
by krishna on Sep 26, 2007 02:44 PM  Permalink

The article is completely ridiculous and thrown to the dust bin after reading. Is it necessary to load the cricket stars with huge money when they are not able to digest what they are having.Noone can force a CM to announce rewards and the same is purely left to him.The author had stopped short of painting Modi that he has not announced reward to appease Hindus.Hindus are no fools like other communities and waiting for the politician to come and lick themYou idiot author stop writing nonsense and shut up

What about Mr. Karunanidhi?
by Jeyshree Jayaraman on Sep 26, 2007 02:43 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We are having two CMs at the extreme ends. Modi - for very obvious communal reasons, is failing to recognize the Pathan Brothers. Karunanidhi, on the other hand, with his anti-hindu stance, does not even send out a congratulatory message to Dinesh Karthik & Robin Singh! As long as there are people like Modi, K.Nidhi & of course, the Pak Captain Shoaib Malik, fanning communal passions unwantedly, life will never be smooth. We all recognise India's stupendous feat, but boys, party well, yet, keep your foot firmly planted on the ground. We want many such achievements from you, and do not want to see you fade in to oblivion.

u just say, why money should be given to these cricketers. It is there duty and they have done it. For that BCCI is giving a very good reward, then why u expect money from CMs.

Rediff is communal press. WHY should the guj govt. be obliged to pay these people just because other state govts. have done so by wasting useful money on these rich guys. In fact none of the state govts should have paid anyone.
