This is a biased report to incite communal divide, has CM's of Delhi,Punjab,Kerala and TN declared any reward for its players in Indian team and there's no mention of it even.....and if Pathans are in any way not happy with this treatment they should leave that state immediately.
I would rather say all CM's of Delhi,Punjab, Kearaland TN are communal, they did not announce any reward because they are only for minority appeasement and they dont see any benefit electorally by rewarding there players.
Why hasnt the article mention the contributions of Gambhir in all matchces and Shewag in the matches he played.....If not pathan....gambhir would have been the man of the match for the final or contributions of Yuvraj.
Its a very very interesting at the same time very misleading and dangerous observation done by Rediff, a RESPONSIBLE MEDIA. MEDIA is very strong these days and people (especially the educated class) can get easily influenced by the media.
The misleading part is - Gujarat CM Modi hasn;t announced anything when the players from his state are muslims. This is widely highlighted. Good. I'm not supporting Modi here. Misleading part is that this article doesn't cover ALL the players (like Sehwag etc.,), but depicts Gujarat in the Heading. WHY IS THIS?
Why do Rediff or the author do this? Act responsibly. Dont try to just sell things. Be practical and logical. Dont try to brainwash people with your thoughts. Somebody may be doing wrong, you present the whole picture.
Either you haven't given the complete picture or are misleading. Why the heck?
On the other hand, we need to look whether we really need to shower players with so much of money. They already are lakhpathis, and making them crorepathis will only increase complacency & headiness. The best mode of recognition would be a press release commending their feat, and probably a khel ratna with no cash incentive.. they already earn a lot, yar!
Does rediff take up the cause when sportsmen other than cricketers are concerned. The cricketers are already paid for handsomely... why does Modi have to increase an already bulging kitty. There is more to sports than cricket. Rest of the chief ministers are fools - incidentally Rediff is too, esp. this dumb journo - needs a reason to write & fill up the pages.
Rediff... Nothing for Sehwag and Gambhir who hail from Delhi... Why is this not written? Do you want to show Modi as anti-muslim...the whole world know the truth... But why you rediff..?? is this article sponsered by CONGRESS??

We all should thank god everyday!! I have nothing against Hindus or Muslims. I just can't accept that people like Modi,Sajjan Kumar deserve to be anywhere outside jail for rest of their life for what he did. Him not rewarding or praising Pathan brothers bothers me the least...
