How 'as that?
by prasad gutta on Sep 25, 2007 02:54 AM  Permalink

Team India often failed in the final untill this scintillating victory. Pros and cons of this feat - historic victory are to be analysed as we do (over dose) when we suffer humiliating defeats.
My gut feeling is that the Indian Selectors, critics and media often fail to consider the role/individual contribution of our standard (long standing) players in such defeats. May be the above (players) don't really strive hard to put forth their best because they are always safe. Present T20 composition might contribute ly to this argument. No player should thereforebe protected. Its up to the decision makers to decide.

CONGRATS YOUNG STUDS, KEEP MOVING, LET THE WARM BLOOD NOT FREEZE
by stephen francis on Sep 25, 2007 02:34 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

SPORTS NEEDS FOREMOST YOUNG BLOOD WITH AN OPENMIND TO LEARN & IMPROVE PERFORMANCE WITH EVERY MOMENT, TEAMWORK MOST IMPORTANT, LESS EGO, REGULAR PRACTICE, FITNESS & A PASSION, NEVER SAY DIE ATTITUDE & FIGHTING BACK SPIRIT. IN SPORTS THE MOMENT YOU BEGIN TO BASK IN YOUR GLORY & GET A LAID BACK ATTITUDE, YOU ARE LOST, RELEVANT THOUGH FOR ALL GAMES IN LIFE. THATS THE TIME TO RENOUNCE THE SPORT/ACTIVITY & TAKE UP ANOTHER ACTIVITY THAT REALLY WILL BE USEFUL TO THE PROFESSIONAL/SPORT. LIKE COACH, TRAINER, SPECTATOR OR SIMPLY TAKE UP ANY OTHER ACTIVITY TO SURVIVE & GROW. THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS FOR EVERYTHING IN LIFE WHEREIN "OLD GUYS DO BRING IN GOLD". BUT NORMALLY OLD GUYS ARE RELUCTANT TO BREAK FROM THEIR MOULD, LEARN NEW WAYS & ADVANCE INTO THE COLD WORLD OF SPORTING ACTION. THATS HUMAN NATURE ISN'T IT? BUT ITS BETTER NOT TO BANK ON EXCEPTIONS WHEN IT IS A CASE OF NATIONAL HONOUR & PRIVILEGE. IN THE END, LETS REMEMBER THAT YOUNG HORSES WIN RACES...I HOPE SPORTS MINISTRY/BCCI/ALL SPORTS COMMITTEE MEMBERS IN INDIA GET THE MESSAGE-LOUD & CLEAR AFTER THIS WIN. LIFE IS ALL ABOUT MOVING & ACTION%u2026.KEEP MOVING UP, VACATE YOUR PLACE FOR THE NEW, THE YOUNG & THE BOLD...NATURES LAW ISN'T IT?

Where the religion comes in a game?
by saturn on Sep 25, 2007 02:33 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

At the prize distribution ceremony, Pak captain Shoaib Malick said sorry to 'all muslims in the world' for not giving them a win.
Where the question of religion comes in a game? And he was wrong there. Indian muslims too enjoyed the Indian victory as being the Indians first. These included the man of the match Irfan Pathan and his brother Usuf Pathan.
So not only the way the Pak captain was trying to show that muslims of the entire world lost this match was pathetic & ridiculous but was also unbecoming of a player.
