Difficult time is started for big stars( Sachin, Dravid, esp to Ganguly..). But it is healthy competition for spot in Indian team, between blowers , openers and middle order batsmen.

Blowers %u2013 RP vs Zaheer Vs Sreesanth vs Irfan- Jogindar Middle order- Utappa, Karthik, rohit Sharma ( Dinish karthik - he is in danger zone) At least Sachin and dravid- moment in safe Spinners: Bajji, chawla, Powar%u2026.( Powar and chawala are in good form)

Ganuly is true fighter . Likwise , Dhoni & boys are also true fighter.Under Ganguly, India reached 5-6 important final including world cup2003,but could win only Netwest final mainly due to Yvui & Kaif when first 5-6 wicket cheaply ,still they could score 300 odd runs. Ganguly has built the core team with youngsters ( at that time) like Yuvi, Pathan, Bhajji,Sehwag, Ghambir, Zahir,Balaji who played their heart out for India. The many of the same players Yuvi, Pathan ,Gambhir have contributed heavily for 20-20 World cup victory. Hence a great and large hearted Captain like Ganguly can only priase ,abudding captain Dhoni ,as we can see Ganguly's Image in Dhonis style.

You r talking like our previous selection commty whose first intension was to attck personally. First you check out the records of Ganguly with the comparison to Dravid or even you can check atleast the numbers of matches played by Dravid as captain with same nos of matches with Ganguly. Dont post any comments without knowing the facts.

Do you really follow cricket or did atleast this year. The man you say may be left out is the most prolific run getter this calender year only after Hayden that too by a few runs by playing less matches. His ave is 53 per innings which is way ahead anybody in India. Please check facts when you try to post something serious. Also before you harp on strike rate let me clarify it is around 73 this year which is at par with his career SR and better than Dravid's.

Dear Birju, You're absolutely right. Those criticising Ganguly falls under the category like media people who criticise one player at one moment and hails him at the very next moment. It is very easy to criticise others. They are forgetting that it was only Ganguly who gave JOSH to the TEAM INDIA. I don't think no other cricketer would have made a remarkable comeback like him

i totally agree with you. I have no idea how this guy get selected for every tour. Its just crazy. No news of people like Nehra & Balaji. If you all remember Ajit came into the indian team as a second string bowler to Srinath & Prasad. We'v have had various others bowlers who have played for india. We have even had Nehra and Pathan opening, to the extent even Abay Kuruvila in a West Indian Tour. He is even today after so many years still a second string bowler. Its a shame. he has never improved his game. Besides a one off here and there. I hope sombody puts some sense into the BCCI !

Agreed Narain. Totally. Ganguly was a player who brought that zest to win in the Indian Team. He is a fighter. But then we have had very good captans in Sachin and Dravid. i was a kid when i watched sachin first play and i vividly remember the first match Dravid and Gangualy played the one in which sourav scored a century and Dravid a 95. I knew it then that these guys were special. Love you guys for all that you have given to Indian Cricket. Hail to Dhoni's boys. Hope this will be the beginin of a new dawn for Indian Cricket. In the real sense, Dhoni befits captaincy just as Ganguly did though it might be a little premature to celebrate it so highly.Dhoni infuses positive energy on the field just as Ganguly did.he is fierce just as Ganguli was.he trusts his team just as Ganguli did.he constantly interacts with the team and engages in mid field discussions on the field just as Ganguly did.Ganguly was a great great captain but lost it for no explicable reason.his support and guidance will be needed by Dhoni, at least initially, to settle and excel in captaincy.With all due respects to Dravid as a player and a captain,we know that it is now time for us to wholeheartedly support dhoni.Hail Ganguly and Dhoni.
