Right from the begining i believed that Indians are hot favourites as every batsman in our team is a good hard hitting batsman. My hearty congrats to them. But what dissapointed me a lot is the fact that we allowed Pakis to regain control over match again on both occasions.Dhoni has taken a wrong decision by giving ball to Harbhajan in 17th over which would have finished us.The problem with our players is that they get carried away when things are going smooth. No game is finished unless the last ball is bowled. We need to be aggresive till last.

Indians are good in batting as well as bowling for 4-5 overs. They cannot bat or bowl well beyond that.Their true color comes out only after 4-5 overs. So this game is good for Indian cricket. Full credits to good fielding, though....Thanks to Sachin and older than 29 folks for not playing. They have done a service to India, that way!

hey hang on guys...we cant say for these 3 players...its 20- 20 cup and in this all about luck and energy...here no responsibility for batter...they just come in and swing the bat ...do you think how effective sachin annd saurav oppening pair f they would have been there in this tournament....for 50 overs thease youngsters are still not matured and they must need sachin and dravid atleast with thwm..gangu may be negligible beacuse of his poor running..fielding....this is my advice.just think on it..you will realise ..have a nice drem my friend indians won the cup of 24 years awaited history

Let our yougsters give chance to longer version of game, which is more challenging than 20-20 format and then comment. How many players have played in one day and survived the game so far. We'll find out if younger generation can survive in a longer ver of game as well. Our oldies Sachin, Ganguly and Dravid have done well for years and you can't discount there contribution just beacuse they were not part of 20-20. Not to forget that these players made significant contribution to win test series in recently concluded england series.

looks like for you cricket means only batting. Talk about balling also. We could not find good bowlers in india. and coming to sachin, gang and dravid.. better you keep ur mouth close as the whole world agree sachin as a best player. you know if australia w need to pick up a one day team from whole world, it would first pick sachin as opener not gambhir or yuvraj or dhoni.. there are all night mares. so just enjoy the victory.. they know when to retire no need to tell thm

James, These TRIOs contributed alot to the World Cricket and Indian Cricket and are still doing the same. This T20 and very shorter version. Take Bangladesh they collapse in 50 over game. That's why we need Ganguly, Dravide and Sachin's experience. We can slowly induct the youngsters in the team to gain the experience. We commit mistakes in overexcitement.

there was also hero cup in 1993 i think, in which we beat south africa in a thrilling semi final where tendulakr bowled the last over and then defeated west indies in finals, kumble did the trick then...
We need to rotate players regularly - only that is going to nurture the growth of youngsters - seniors have a lot to offer. Even today a conventional Indian team would have opted for DK in place of Sehwag but Yusuf was given an oppurtunity which is very good signs for Indian Cricket
Twenty20 is a lot like major league baseball. The best of teams like NYY have a winning persent of 58% and the chances of winning are always near even.
Did anyone notice the commentary especially from the aussies who follow baseball?... dug-out, bench strenght, changer...
I think BCCI and ICL should invest in learning more about baseball and should get feilding coaches from Minor League baseball.
Otherwise.... Indian team kept its nerves. That paid well in the end. It was more that Pakistan messed up rather than India beat Pakistan.
Well done Dhoni and Team. Well done Malik and team. Til the end the game could have gone either way and Pakistan deserves 48% of the cup :).
Karma karo, phal ki laalach na karo. This has defined Dhoni & our beloved Indian Team.
Even if we had lost today, I would have felt proud of the achievements and the attitude of Dhoni.
Dhoni's maturity and quickness in adapting to this game is extremely mature and commendable.

Don't compare cricket with baseball....in a 3 hour baseball game 2 and half hour the pitcher throws and the batter misses....no action at all....cricket is much more interesting and fast paced......fielding in cricket also much more difficult especially in the sleeps

R U FREAKIN..SERIOUS !!!
IF YOU DO NOT KNOW -- Baseball players use GLOVES.... and when one of baseball players catches a ball with bear hand (it is considered to be one of the best catches of the year)..
On the other hand, Cricket fielders make catches like that on a routine day..
CRICKET DOESNT NEED any Baseball coach for fielding....
AND, INDIA- PAK match was close ..but, at the end the better team won and INDIA WON.... 100 % ...

Perhaps Indo-Pak rivalry is unmatched... but I have seen NYY vs Boston-Red-Sox rivalry and also LAD vs SFG. It gets really tensed there as well.
I am too biased a fan to follow cricket during an India-Pakistan match. My dad has the heart to sit through the game and assimilate any outcome.. I just dont.
