I am sure the selection committee has more experience in cricket than me but I don't think Dhoni should have been given this responsibility at this point in time because he is in the early stages of his career and if he gets affected by the pressures of captaincy, it may have a bad effect on his career. If greats like Sachin can get affected then it is more than likely Dhoni would especially when he has not stamped his mark on the game as yet and been inconsistent. I hope he proves me wrong though. I am also worried that since he has years of cricket left in him he would end up being a puppet in the hands of BCCI and the selectors as he would be too scared about his future to go against them even if they are wrong. He should nave been made the captain once he proved he was indispensible to the board. If someone like Sachin was made the captain he would be able to go against anything the board does wrong because he knows he cannot be removed from the team because of his performance.

i dnt understand,even if the Team is PROMOTING rotation policy,but still they failed to bring a good mix,Only Sreeshanth is right Arm fast bowler in the side,Who has earlier told that is not that effective in One day cricket,And why Rohit has been kept out without giving a single chance,Undoubtably the Lad is promising Batsman and an Excellent fielder.
Reginnal Bias, Reservations, Petty Politics are not the reasons for dhoni's appointmet as captain.. You guys should seriously stop thinking up of unnecessary things to start of unnecessary arguments..
Dhoni's been made captain so he can be groomed for later on, shouldn't put him under so much pressure instead encourage him..

That true,I dnt know,what these people get by PROMOTING these REGIONAL BIOS,we all should left the FAVOURATISM behind,and give full support to Team indian,that they do well under new captain,And let me tell u Winning and performing well is more Important then who is captaining and who is not.
I think we should look forward, not repeat the same thing again and our selectors have done the good job by choosing Dhoni ...Yuvi is not good choice becoz his behaviour was not proper in past....so good luck Dhoni..
Vengi Y Laxman is kept aside for captaincy or even as a player. God knows. World knows he is a matter of success against Aussis. I think BCCI wants to let Indian Cricket be in dolldrums always. It must be thinking as fielding is not good, VVS is not considered. But then Y our Indian Jonty is not taken. I think ICL only can solve all these problems by keeping a second bench open for performers. And I think BCCI is making the people to think of ICL early venture. Hope BCCI will atleast will not allow such occurrences by sending good cricketers keeping aside all politics.

stupid, he has an average of 44 after 85 matches...that too as a regular keeper.....u r a donkey.
Many peope are writting so many things against Dhoni when he is not himself responsible for being the captain.....yaar seniors are not taking the responsibility or are fighting with each other...what bechara Dhoni can do. Even selectors or bcci did not have anyoption...u can argue b/w dhoni and yuvraj but dont argue b/w dhoni and dravid, ganguli, tendua, etc.
