Dhoni has to grow indian ODI team under his leadership to the level of australia team. Then only we can become world beaters. For this to happen all the bcci selectors should be removed and only dhoni should select the team. All under performers and inconsistent players whether young or old, whether batsmen or bolwer should be removed. Players should be there in ODI team on consistent performance basis only. We should have a australian coach. All ODI players should be all rounders and excellent in fielding and fittness. I feel for the present day situation of indian cricket BCCI is responsible as there is only politics and all are old people who even cannot give proper media presentation and donot have any knowledge of present day advanced cricket. BCCI only spoiled the indian team. The captain should have the entire power to select players based on playing conditions and board should be there only for managing and not for doing politics and selecting nonsense players. If we adapt australian cricket culture then only we can become world beaters otherwise will become like zimbabwe or kenya. Players should be payed only on performance basis and each place in the team should be made competitive and players should be rotated to keep them always fit. I dont think india will win series against australia if whoever is the captain. Dhoni will once a again become sacpe goat of this politics. Dravid scared about series losses against australia and pakistan, so resigned.

there is a bigger story to tell about indian ODI cricket, but characters are not sufficient. that is why india is in 7th place in ODI rankings.

Dhoni is the right choice. His tenure of three years in international cricket has made him wise enough to handle the situation. It depends on the person. Pataudi took up the reins after only two years and Dada after four years. And for tests it has to be Dhoni again. If he is thought to be fit in the ODI, he will as well be good for the tests. Going back to Sachin will be a few steps backwards. In any case seniors like Sachin, Dravid and Ganguly will be there to help. He is a pleasing character who will acceptable to the seniors and the juniors.

whoever the captain is, it does not make much of a difference. The captain is only as good as the team. The Indian team can never be compared to world beaters like Australia, SA etc. The series will be a complete whitewash. Aus will win 7-0.

This should have been done long back. Dravid should have been removed as captain when we lost in world cup and dhoni should have been made captain. Indian cricket has to grow to a new level and try to go up in ODI ranking from 7th place to 2nd place as australia is always number one.
