Re: Wahtever is happing with Indian Cricket
by on Sep 17, 2007 01:37 PM  Permalink

The way Indian Cricket and Players is treated in these is not really good for Indian Cricket, please stop these news channels and former players to stop talking too much on the matches, The formers players talks like they did not commit any mistake whenever they played for India. The news channels reports speak like they are god of cricket, everybody now they don't have zero knowledge.

Know come on to the math which India lost to New Zeland, its not mistake of Agarkar it mistake of the captain. The requirement of 20-20 cricket is a creative captain and creativity is missing from the Mr. Dhoni. After making 76 runs in 5.5 overs and loss of Sehwag wickets Dhoni had to send Irfan and Agarkar with advice of hitting if they score around 10 to 20 runs these runs definitely helped India instead of making these runs in sending all the batsman%u2019s in pavilion.

We lost match only becoz of this two cricketer. I don't understand on what basis they got in twenty20 in 15 squad & again making place in final 11 squad. We will continuing losing if they remain in final 11 member.

AGARKAR is PERMANENT
by Special on Sep 17, 2007 01:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Nobody can chuck him away fm the Indian Team. He is for ever. A PAIN in A**.

Tendulkar can be considered for throwing out of the team for his non-performance (which is also an impossible chance because of his very good performance) But AGARKAR ... NO WAY.

He will keep on giving runs because he is the one who brings THRILL to the game. We, Indian team, never would like to chase under 5 RPO. It should be competitive around 6 or above. & AGARKAR help indian team to cover up the balance.

I was amazed when i say him giving just 11 runs in 2 overs. I was discussing with my frnd over the phone that AGARKAR really started bowling now...but immediately in his next spell...he showed his colours....for which he is famous.

LONG LIVE AGARKAR
LONG LIVE POWAR
LONG LIVE CHANDU
LONG LIVE MAHARASHTRA

Agarkar the Indispensible
by Shyam on Sep 17, 2007 01:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dravid can be disposed off with, a Ganguly can be sent off for an year, Sachin can be questioned, Irfan can be packed off from the middle of a tour, Dalmiya can be sacked, but no one has the guts to send Agarkar off. Lage Raho Agarkar.

A good idea for the next Fevicol ad.

All these people does not have good political background. But Agarkar had. If he scores 0 hundred times or gives 100 runs in his 10 overs he will be in the team. If Agarkar is not in the Team then BCCI will be dismantled.

Agarkar Should Play County
by milind more on Sep 17, 2007 01:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Looking at the Zaheer's improved performance would suggest Mr. Agarkar to play some county matches which may help him to get his line and length. Though I doubt looking at his performance in last 2 series any county will be really interested in him..

I am sure other teams are paying BCCI to keep Agarkar on the Indian team, all the other teams know the value of having Agarkar on the Indian team.

Will any county offer him a place, when he is so indispensible for International cricket.

T20 LOSS......
by Rakesh Sharma on Sep 17, 2007 01:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Agarkar went for runs @10 runs per over. But then Sreesanth and Yuvi went for more than 12 runs per over. Pathan or Harbhajan or RP, whoever may have bowled two overs at the death would not have gone @ for less than 10 runs per over because of the fact that Kiwis bat low down the order and they make maximum use of those big hitters unless you get them out. But what happened that the Indian fielders did not support their bowlers at the right moment. Had Dinesh Kartick taken the catch of Jacob Oram of the bowling of Agarkar, the picture would have been different. Also the failure of Dhoni to hit boundaries resulted in increased pressure on the later order. Even Shaun Pollock did not get criticized so much after giving 53 runs in 4 overs as Agarkar is being criticized after giving away 40 runs.

Yes Rakes whatever u have said is right. But it not the first time that Agarkar is giving runs. He never seems to learn from this beating he was getting from batsman. No country in the world will allow a bowler to bowl like this. Okay if his batting is a makeup. Then OK it is adjustable. Batting was far more disappointing. But he is only world class fielder we have in boundries. So if he is not improving in the last 10 years do u expect him to improve in another ten years. So better to make way for others. If he got Lazza and Sharam okay.

I completely disagree with your views on Mr Bombay Duck(agarkar). Yes Mr Shaun Pollock must have given away 53 runs in 4 overs, but then how many times has he done that in his career, please check this economy rate in ODI's. I am a Maharashtrian, yet i am not in favor of playing Agarkar in ODI's. We need horses for courses, take him to Australia, he will be our best bowler beacuse the wickets favor bowlers like him. In 20-20 one needs bowlers who can vary pace...Hopefuly we will see Rohit Sharma and chawla in action in next match - Shrinivas Khanolkar

Please dont defend agarkar ... he has really not played well .. in the last match he made sure we almost lost the match and could bid the world cup goodbye ... giving 17 runs in the penultimate over ... and in this match also he gave 21 runs in one over ... dont compare him with yuvraj singh as he doent claim himself to be a regular bowler ... and agarkar cant expect himself to be served good fielding when he can himself not take catches as we saw in the last match ...

Agarakar is always man of match!

Agarakar is always man of match - for the opposite team.
His father is mumbai police commisioner, so he can take it easy..its simple police-politician nexus has kept him in team for 10 years.
