BCCI should use sachin as Captain . B'cos we want india to win . & Sachin is top scorer in last 3 series.he is the only inform & consistant batsman these days. Do doubt that Sachin is still The Best. that he already prooved in last series.no one in indian team near by sachin in last three series.so he shuold be make the captain ofIndian Team. if we want india to win, we need to have sachin as Captain in the team.he is the only who can give us victory.Sachin will be the best captain. because he has max. exeperience, & an all rounder ability. Yes Dravid Won Last Series in England. But can some one tell me What was dravid's contri. in both ODI & Test Series. He won that series because of Tendulkar Only.

Mr.Mahendra Sharma, I appreciate your love and respect for Sachin...But...no one can support ur view that Sachin would be a great captain....He was given chance as captain in the past and he turned out to be a biggest failure. It took toll on his batting..fielding..fielding placing, changing bowlers and leading in the field.... We think Ganguly is the best person for the job now.May be Dhoni too...But sachin..No way.... Stop being blind supporter of sachin.Let him just be one of the players with no pressure on him.he wd bat well.

Mr.Mahendra sharma Sachin is a great player but he is not a good captain.Score is not the criteria for captancy.Captancy is a kala which sachin don,t have.we suggest Only Ganguly is the best choice. Otherwise Ajit Agarkar is the best choice(as per his recent performance 20-20).
Dravid has been unnecessarily pilloried by the media for that- Media also refer sites viz., Rediff, Timesnow and NDTV. These media really don't have anything worth to salt and they do everything to create bad name. Since content is the key they're bullying people by putting breaking news and making idiotic viewers(includes you and me) to watch their channels. Viewers comments (either positive or negative) itself is the victory for their filthy stories which most of times doesn't have truth in it nor related to context.
It is a shame that a site which had Prem Panicker in its cricket writings ranks resorted to this kind of sensationalism for God knows what. Is this the message of the article? Is this the jist of what Chandu Borde said?Isn't this kind of journalism one of the reasons why dravid quit? It is allright to have some sensationalism in headings, but this is reckless. Imagine someone else citing rediff as a reference to establish Chandu Borde was not in good terms with Dravid, using only this headline! I doubt any of the readers is supportive of this.I doubt if any of rediff staff reads the messages posted here, but atleast a moderator might come across... if it happens, please pass this message on to those responsible for headlines.

I support your point. At first glance (title), I thought Mr. Borde said something against Dravid and when I read the article, it was a completely different scenario. Very poor editing on part of rediff. I feel sorry for them.
the way our new young team is playing in T20 WE r missing the seniors to show them some direction the likes of SACHIN and SARAUV would be ideal for this role

its a nice oppurtunity for ypungsters to find a place in team and show there potential
with all due credit to his past, he's a misfit as a manager. he shouldnt have agreed to become a manager, couldnt do much to inspire anyone, couldnt fill in the coach's nor manager's shoes. he could hardly remember team member's names, what confidence does it give to the players other than give respect to the grandpa. he was unfit for any calls in the team. dravid had to do multiple tasks, take care of useless bowlers like agarkar, ensure a series victory etc etc. with such a pathtic crew to work with and useless wimpy vengsarkar who kept bossing around, its best to leave the scene and give them "one tight slap". now the ball is in vengsarkar's court, and also the bombaiyyas will be to blame. i hope at least now agarkar will be kicked out of the team & into the orbit!!!

Everyone knows why Borde was made the manager of the team. At least give him credit for not doing anything negative. He was not seen much, he did not keep a high profile as other coaches do. But atleast under him, the team played as one unit in England! At least give him 0.5% of the credit for our reasonably good performance in England!

i agree totally. who is he sleeping with to keep getting a chance. i can't wait for him to australia (i am sure they will bring him here) cos i will take rotten tomatoes to the matches esepcially for him. he is an embarrasment of sorts. i wonder how his teammates tolerate him.
Apropos the captaincy, it is a fact that the captains from the south have always been softies; well behaved, knowledgeable, intelligent and EDUCATED. They will not bring themselves to the level of the crude uneducated politicos and petty businessmen who hold the power at the BCCI. Ergo, they become misfits. In the present situation, there is no need to look beyond Laxman. He has atleast 4 good years in him and except for Dravid there is no one in the entire country who can match his prowess. If a shorter time span is considered, Kumble would be the ideal choice, he will be around for two more years.

Captains from south have always been softies; well behaved (that is their mask), knowledgeable, intelligent (clever), educated AND GREAT POLITICIANS. They always played dirty tricks to stay as captain.
Dravid was hand in gloves with chappel and jointly destroyed the indian team prior to world cup.

the first captain to exit with dignity is from south. That is one thing we have in the south, DIGNITY.

That is your perception but my experience says a major chunk of South Indians are of very regionalistic mindset, extremely conservative, indulge into provincialism, and great manipulators. Exceptions are always there but the face of a clan is how majority behaves. They pose a threat to national integrity - it is only my observation after coming across many many South Indians both in their states as well as other parts of this country.

I accept the fact that Dravid was a good captain and even better human being. At the same time, I request you to stop dividing this country on basis of religion and region.

What did he acheived by destroying the team prior to the world cup, losing indian captain. Do you think any insane person will destroy his team just prior to World Cup and come back as a first round exit. Go beyond any sort of regionalism and give credit to the person who has been instrumental in bringing great victories for India. No other batsman in Indian cricket history can be compared to Dravid, he has been instrumental in most great test victories...NewZealand, Pakistan, Australia, England...Check out the matches India won under Ganguly and check Dravid's contribution in those. Ganguly was terribly out of form those days and Dravid if he would have been a politician would have failed on those crucial moments and our Dada would have been sacked quite early. Dravid is a great team man. Few more things:- I dont have and regional or religion wise any affection for Dravid & I belong to North India. I am a great fan of Tendulkar of past and every inning I wish he would play like in his past days. I am very big of Ganguly's aggression which changed the way Indian players look in field now. All this I said to prove some nuts amongst you that I am not biased in any manner towards Dravid... Positive comments are welcome...Thanks
