mai rahul bol raha hu, main is liye captainship chor raha hu, kiyuki mujhe captainship karna nahi aata hai. abhi greg chappel aur kirone more mere saath nahi hai, mujhe fasakar dono bhag gaye. abhi hum bhi bhag na chahta hai. mujhe abhi politics join korna hai.
this is team peroformance or any couple of players clicked that particular match that team will see the door of victory. ganguly when he taken the charge he did nothing as batsman or bowler it was dravid who won many matches, as far as test match concerned. take one day cricket, sewag now and then did well, and yuvi, kaif both did well. in 2003 world cup it was sachin who taken the team to the final with single handedly,of course i have to give some credit to srinath also. finally as a player gangu did nothing when he was a captain. if you think captainship is important even if he is not performing well, then you bring back kapil dev who succeeded at the big event and also good performer.

Correct! Ganguly ruled as dictater with Dalmiya's support. Sachin never got that support from Board officials. So not it's Sachin's turn. He should get captaincy.

Don't worry about stupid arguments. They don't understand u r talking about greater South India and so Dhoni is a South Indian. your list should be larger.
W. G. Grace (south.India) Don Bradman (south.India) Garry Sobers (south.India) Viv Richards (south.India) Ian Botham (south.India) Imran Khan (south.India) Steave Waugh (south.India) Pele (south.India) Stefi Graf (south.India)

Please dont write bullshit. After all it is India. Not south india or North India. And FYI, Dhoni is not from South India. Not only that, what abt Sachin? By the way, I am from South India!

Dravid is half-maharashtrian (mom) and half-tamil (Dad). Read Vedam Jaishankar's biography of Dravid. Dravid's paternal grandfather was from a place called Tanjore.

Tajore king was Bhosale step brother of sivaji since then lots of Maharashtrians even Brahmins are settled there,
his father Shahaji had Bengluru tumkur area under his helm. He died near Chikmaglur while hunting in an accident. Even Sivaji son was Rajaram was kept in Ginjee fort in Tamilnadu when he was in teens. Aurangzeb was there in Maharashtra to conquer Maratha kingdom for 27 years died there but could not win. The Maratha Genarals kept Prince there for brief period as Mughal's had habit of catching the prince and asking ransom. Generals did not wanted duel responsibility during that period.
DRAVID DID A GOOD JOB.HE GAVE UP THE CAPTAINCY IN GOOOD TIMES.NOW SOURAV MUST LED THE TEAM IN THE PLACE OF SACHIN.BECAUSE HE IS THE EXPERIENCE CAPTAIN IN OUR TEAM AND HE IS HAVING A GOOD THINKING RATHER THAN SACHIN.

Who says Saurav is good thninker than Sachin. Find out Saurav's record under Sachin's captaincy. He never played well under sachin just to proove him an unsuccessful captain. His politics was then supported by Dalmiya. Otherwise looking at Saurav's then performance he should have thrown out of the team
dravid is not good captian, he doesnt desire to b a captain, i dont no why in media people says he is good, according to me only n only ganguly should b the captain, i m sure he will build the indian cricket team like austrialia one he has the good leadership quality which dravid lacks lot, ganguly doesnot do any kind of politics he has the confidence level like pointing, why does players call me dada it is the respect given to him

Remember my jobless countrymen, who waste all their energies in a Worthless discussion about Captain of Indian Cricket Team, PLEASE dont go back the Stupid Dada, he is 2 years away from his grave at 36. Also ignore end of his Career, "Dada ka Chamcha" Tendulkar or the Softy, Sissy Dravid.Make the Ladaaku SREESANTH Captain and Gunda Yuvraj (Unshaven, with coloured hair and looks like a Pukka Loafer) Vice Captain.Even Hayden the Giant would be scared of these two Fighters.

I have no problem appointing Ganguly as a captain of the Indian team (imho a better captain than Rahul Dravid). But only thing that I worry is that it would be tantamount to playing with 10 players. In fact all our lobbying efforts should be to change the rules and permit a non-playing captain. Two birds with one stone....what say you...

If India can reach the final of World cup with 10 players then why to bother about it? It is better than being out of WC in the first round.

then you can support mr.kapil who need not play, since his age concerned. kapil also went upto final and held the world cup.

Yes I would prefer to be pillaged and ravaged on the grand stage rather than be humiliated in the first round.
He has made a correct decision to resign from the captaincy. He is not going to be the captain by the time the next world cup is held. i doubt if he is going to be in the game for more than a year or so. If he has a successful outing in the land of Oz he should hang up his shoes altogether and get on to the commentary bandwagon. At least here he will be able to outshine the rest of the current crop without a nary doubt. The only reason why we are discussing this issue is due to the fact that some-one has voluntarily given up his throne. We cannot digest that fact.
