RE:Heading Misleading

Rediff is acting like thse evening dailies we get. Outside the Shops where the papers are sole ther will be this advertisement from the appers in recylced paper giving the higlights of the news. There will be Healdlines that runs in Bold Fonts like this eg."NARASIMHA RAO IN DANGER" - people seeing that will come to their own conclusions on what the danger is and will buy the paper to read what it is and finally when they read the paper in small prints (which they will find in great difficult) there will be a article saying that Mr. Narasimha Rao had a minor surgery and now he is out of Danger"
Rediff is stooping to such low levels to attract their readers.
this is too bad a heading to an otherwise normal interveiw by the ex-manager. is it the way rediff trying to bring some spice into the article so that people can read it when seen... don't think rediff needs to try this way.. we read the articles not because of the heading but then the reactions you get by giving a spicy heading is not what is expected from a reporting perspective...

yea right!!! Mumbai lobby has send Indian cricket spiralling down for the last decade or so. Except for Sachin, who has done well in either format of the game? I am not from Karnataka, but I think Karnataka players have done really well over the years.
But the fact is, despite your narrow minded and Thakeresque quip demonstrated by a minoroty of extrimist mumbaikars like you, most of us know that what eventually SHOULD make team India is a good mix of talented , consistent and hardworking players despite of where they are from ; and not just any bunch of idiots just because they belong to a certain influencial lobby in cricket.

and before doing that, we should have a team without any mumbaikar and test it out...and if they win, thereafter, NO mumbaikar should be selected to the team et all.. what say?

Agarkar's father is police commisioner - thats why he should always be in Indian team. After all Police-politicians are responsible for making BCCI successful. Face it guys, Police and politicians of Mumbai run this country.
The problem is with the Indian Media. Having read th headline, I thought the article was written by some australian/englishman who was criticizing rahul dravid., but the full article tells a different story. Chandu Borde has infact praised dravid. Now the other channels after reading this interview will again scandalize the news piece and will go on record to say that even chandu borde was not supportive of the indian captain. If you have to catch a statement, atleast write the full sentence... Indian media has touched abysmal depths, rather stating the truth in an impartial manner, it is hell bent on adding masala to every thing happening around us.

You are absolutely right. There are many instances on rediff itself where they pick few words to put as a headline, just to attract the reader's attention. Hopeless reporting.

moral of the story: Never blindly believe, what you see, what you read and what you hear...

Shravan! You are exactly perfect. I too for one thought that atlast like many other coaches/managers/retired seniors, Mr. Borde also, withour responsibility has responded in the similar fashion after a series!!! But to my surprise, He has responded very positively. Like you say the media is very sure that only by unsettling people or team, they will be settling happily !!! Hands Down to Media !!!
