Personally iam biggest fan & Admirer of Sahin,Dravid& Ganguly, but time has come for these Big guns to hang off their Boots,Indian cricket needs to Look a head to build & groom a team for 2011 world cup, follow the Australian Policy and look at their bench strength.

YES. You are on dot.It is their politics to bring back sachin as captain.they could have right royally done that instead of dirty politics.See now how they are pushing agarkar but for whom we would have won both in england & also yesterday against NZ.His 23 runs in the penaltimate over costed india the match. It was surprising that when irfan had 2 more overs, dhoni preferred agarkar & that is the turning point of the match. He neither contributes with the bat or fielding.Should india suffer for the sake of bombay lobby ?LET THE MEDIA DELIBERATE OPENLY THIS POINT.

Very true. But for Agarkar , the New Zealand match would have been won. Not only he bowled good length at death & concede 23 runs, but ran himself out plus poor fielding.
Dravid had to give-up. Hope Dhoni survives the mumbai lobby i.e. BCCI.

vengsarkar cannot digest that now only 1-2 players represent the national team from mumbai. in his days, there were 5-6 mumbai players. now cricket is much more dispersed and democratic in india. even jharkhandis are playing well.

Ok. if Pawar and Mumbai lobby are BEHIND Dravid's resignation, who is in FRONT of it, who is to its LEFT and who is to its RIGHT, who is ABOVE it and who is BELOW it?

how agarkar enters indian team from behind is a riddle no one can solve. the most useless slog over bowler ever, and playing 20-20. what an irony? mumbai lobby keeps bringing him back, india has lots of young energetic fast bowlers like sreesanth, rp singh, pathan, munaf. remove agarkar.

Som, Behind is not the same as After. Choose your words carefully. In your case you have achieved the opposite of what you wanted to say!!
Who made this news : read what Mr. Borde has said "Unlike many other captains, he was neither demonstrative nor flamboyant, but that isn't what captaincy is all about. He went about his job with a quiet dignity and enjoyed full support of each member of the Indian team. "

Absolutely right - Rediff is trying to misquote and sensationalize the issue - Borde's statement was complimenting the captain but the heading projects as if he was accusing Dravid!! Cheap way to get readers to read the article!

Chandu Borde himself is a contraversial man and speaks always contradicatory matters. I do not know why BCCI selected him as the Manager for England tour. It shows that the BCCI is run by politicians not sportsmen.Politicians dont want to retire, but make the other to retire even before the time comes.

Rediff is a typical masala crap where we all can come and use it like a pros and vent out whatever we want to so bhaiyyon pls come and exploit this cheap site
I feel Sachin Tendulkar is the best cricketer India has ever produced and I feel sorry for Mr. Kulkarni to pass such remarks about a greatest batsman. Why don't you remember the time when he was made captain, Mohammad Azhruddin other players didnot co-operated hime and they ensured that India to loose each and every test. Almost majority of the players were non-co-operating and even working against Sachin Tendulkar. We Indian should feel proud of the kind cricket our country has produced rather than be jaleous of his skill and capability. Even during 2003 world cup when he was in superb form he was denied the balling in order to ensure that he shouldnot get player of the tournament award but finally he got it. Sachin Tendulkar got out so many times due to bad umpiring and got harrassed in his own country's team due to the jaleousy of his capabilities. Why Rahul Dravid declared the inning when Sachin Tendulkar was on 194 runs? How much more time he is going to spend to get another six runs? Hardly 5 ~ 10 mins more but Rahul Dravid declared the inning but still Sachin Tendulkar contributed for the team. We always blame him that he is playing for his own records and whenever he scoring the runs India don't win. This is a negative thinking. Can any cricketer play like this? Cricket is a game of uncertainity and no cricketer can decide when he has to play or not. So my dear friends instead of blamming others first you check about yourself and your achievements.

Mr. D.P.
Sachin is a great cricketer no doubt on it. But neither he could be a better captain nor a humble team mate. Our team got destructed by Kiran More and Chappel. They instead doing good to the remuneration what they took they simply run business and got out from their responsibility. Accepting an unwanted political seat Dravid also lost his cricket. We proud to say batting trio Sourav, Sachin and Dravid as our ealier bowling trio of yesteryears. Talking about Sachin, once contribution to be assessed on the teams achievements not to his personal achievements.

Buddy..can you take last 30 final matches and tell me how many matches Sachin has won for India. Many are selfish, unless you play as ateam you cannot become a champion.See what yuvraj is doing...the same story..can't help india

Buddy...it's okay that Sachin failed to score in finals now and then...but would you plz tell me how they got into those finals...it was Sachin who is doing everything to get them into finals and again they are expecting him to see the team through to lift the trophies...SHAME ON ALL OTHERS...it's not just Sachin who is there..10 other JOKERS are also there who also supposed to contribute...Had it been someone else..might have suffered brain hemorrhage under this much pressure. I don't think India cricket would ever see anyone of his stature and talent in its history again....We being Indian should be delighted to have him...Enjoy the elegance. You will not see that again in your lifetime once he calls it a day.

Once again rediff has shown itself to attact readers to a piece of news by taking an innocuous phrase uttered by the interviee and making it sound like that was the main gist of the interview.
I came to this page expecting from the headline that Chandu Border was talking about the bad of Dravid, but it seems that the controversy-hungry Rediff editors take out a negative phrase and headline it making it sound Borde was speaking ill of Dravid. I've been seeing this tactic for quite sometime and I really wonder if Rediff will ever change, I mean the headline DOES NOT IN ANY WAY REFLECT WHAT THE INTERVIEW IS ABOUT. It's just a means to get more clicks.
