Sehwag will bite the dust!
by K Chandru on Sep 10, 2007 08:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Under the chairmanship of Vengsarkar, it's the west zone cricketers (from Mumbai, Maharashtra, Baroda) who get chances despite not doing anything to rock the world in domestic cricket. Poor Badrinath (who is already 27), Yomahesh, Venugopal Rao and others from south would end up being in the fringe of selection and not making it quite there. `wonder how Sehwag and Harbhajan earned their places back? Did they do anything noteworthy after being dropped? I wish another drubbing and the team biting the dust yet again with such partisan attitude ruining the larger interests of the game.

The Sehwag style batting is needed in 20-20 to put the team in up front. He deserves a place in the team. He is going there as a msot experiecnced player as Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguli are out. India's prospect in 20-20 games would rest on how Sehwag is able to score.

Not necessary dude.
In a 20-20 match no team depends on individuals.
even if the above three fails, india can win by the performances of the other players in the team.

I hope u have not followed properly. Stop pushing Ajit Agarkar into top man.
Zaheer has the best bowlong figures. Consider himself bowling full quota of 4 overs 2-15. dont just see the numbers. this is where stats fail to show the actual facts.

it's absolutely ridiculous to rate teams in 20/20. Any team can win withing given 3 hrs. My list:

Bangladesh
Australia
india
pakistan

Australia, England,NZ and SA is my best bet. Why? Best fielders and maximum number of all rounders. I am going for Eng Vs SA as the finalists.

Umpires
by Ganapathy Ram on Sep 10, 2007 04:38 PM  Permalink

For this new format of cricket do not forget the 12th player Alam Daar who picks ups an Indian wicket all the time. when India plays if Alam is the umpire the opposition can count on him either to rise his finger against any too order Indian player or keep his fingers tied when Indian's appeal.
