Allan Border to Deano : You weak victorian...if you can't handle this, get lost....we need a tough Queenslander out here...we will get in Greg Ritchie out here..a real tough Aussie bloke..this tough Queenslander can handle these conditions well...
This sledging worked instantly and Dean Jones told allan Border that he can ask his tough Queenslander to get lost and he is staying put... Dean Jones stayed put, went on to make 210 and rest is history... Here is an example of Legendary Aussie toughness and how sledging happens even between them....

well said raja well said ,indians have the gaul to comment on a champion player with a physique tat can put most indian athletes to shame
world of cricket is missing class bowlers like Donald,MG,wasim, younis etc watching just the ball going for 4 and 6 in the small ground is becoming boring. previously the ground use to be 80to90mtrs today its 66to70mtrs in future it will be 50mtrs less than gully cricket.

Umar gul? Who the Skeliten? few years? he will disappear in thin air.
According to ICC India may face one year ban on all forms of cricket. They think that as all other sports are doing well without india.cricket will also continue without India

You are seriously a funny character. Where do you get these ideas. Without INDIA cricket there is nobody watching cricket. This is totaly funny to see Aussies complaining about Taunting, they are the ones pioneers in that, they are the ones who did all that to other countries when somebody does it to him they start crying. One of the worst CRY BABIES in cricket is RICKY PONTING we should give a award for this guy.
One of your message below, you're claming you're living in US. Just a few days ago you were saying you live in Australia. And during the 20-20 final you were saying you live in Bombay.

Ricky Ponting is a crybaby?? Hahaha...you must be joking.... This guy is a real tough dude who makes good his promises... He had said after the Ashes defeat that England would be beaten 5-0... And he did just that....and he led from the front thru and thru.... He led the team in the champions trophy and they won it.... Cry babies don't have such accomplishments....
The biggest crybabies are the English....not the tough aussies...

True...very true....thats why they have lost to India only thrice in the last four years and have beaten us more than 16 times.....that says it all!!
How is a monkey chant akin to racial abuse is beyond my comprehension?.I was in the north stands and people were just having fun..They heckled every australian player and the ones near the boundary ropes bore the brunt..Now it's a well known fact that people who dont take banter lightly get the rough end of the stick..I dont think the taunts and the gestures had any racial overtones..It's just that he took offence to the treatment meted out and that is what's the ultimate aim of the fun loving spectators of the North stand..Why they'll even heckle some Indian players except Sachin, whom every cricket smart fan in Mumbai revers!!!! But it's all in good fun and the crowd generally is very decent and well educated..

What were some of the comments passed on players both india and ozzie. We all know what happened to Symonds but the rest?
RE:much ado about nothing!!!
by siva kumar on Oct 18, 2007 10:16 PM Permalink
So what ? If Australians come here and think they can tald what they want they will get this treatment. In a sports event of this magnitude takes in an open stadium such incidents are bound to happen. If they call it racism and can not bear it let them play only indoor games like squash.

Already symonds has given the signals to their uncultured descendets of former British criminals by telling that Indians will face the same treatment when they visit their country. So we are ready to face it..

Siva Kumar....don't expose your pathetic ignorance in this blog.... All the settlers were not Britishers with a criminal record.... I think you would do well to read the best seller written by John Mulvaney and Johan Kamminga....then you would have a better ide about this fantastic island and its people....
One of the most fascinating countries in the world...it is best not to pigeonhole all aussies into one bracket.... Queenslanders are as different from victorians as chalk from cheese..... Western Australians are the most soft spoken and courteous people....have you ever seen Damien Martyn sledging or abusing opponents??
New South welshman are generally fun loving chilled out people...the barn ranch kind of guys....
Victorians are slick, polished and stiff upper lip..........
Learn to appreciate these things too instead of mindlessly hating the aussies... There is a lot to learn from the Aussies!!

Ha ha Ashish.. You're all excited all of a sudden!!! he is just praising the Aussieland and It's a beautiful country. He did NOT say a word against india, unlike you.
You're only motive in your life is to talk trash about India. What a inferiority complex!!
It's just funny to see how Aussies are trying to make a big deal out of every little thing. The same Aussies who themselve are known for rasicm and crowd abuse.. :)
RE:much ado about nothing!!!

There is chanting everywhere. In Aus, Aussies chant against Warne ('s infidelity), they have booed POnting himself many times.
Booing and chanting is a part of every game. Aussies say chit-chatting is a part of every game and quote the example of soccer, rugby etc where they abuse each others mothers, sisters, fathers..... ....but they act "precious" when it comes to crowd chanting, in India.

Bhasmasur or whatever you are! I am not ignorant and I can not read all the books you have referred but I am happy that my comment has irked you. By saying that Damien Martyn is not sledging you agree that people from other region are sledgers. We condemn only those people: Being so knowledgeable How come you missed an important point at least Australians speak one language may be with different accents, But here we have lot many differences impovershed by the same whites for whom you are singing praising songs and you come and blame us that we are racists.Indians never thoght superior of themselves and enslaved any country or any race but have been victims because their forefathers taught them dharma and other non violence principles. You adore Australia we have no objection but do not compare us with them. But also remember that except aborigins rest all are settlers and British used that land for extraditing fearsome criminals..
