Dear Ponting,
Can you remember, you and your people did to the great dhoosra bowler Muthiya Muralitharan. Muralitharan has to undergo a physical test to prove that his bowling action is correct. The person has to prove if it is against you and your country people why can't you follow the same thing for Symonds. Do not forgot You will also be measured in the same way you measure others. ___HotWorldCup.com____

Let the whole Aussies along with out bootliking reports remember how Aussies pushed Pawar after asking him to vaccate the place.

If Aussies are arrogant our Indian reports are boneless leaches who starves for a drink and write what western media thinks.

Dear Sir,
Are we going to behave in a uncivilised way bcoz the Aussie crowd also does that. This kind of behaviour was unnecessary.
Ofcourse the Aussie team also is taking it a bit too far. As a sportsperson, they should understand, if there is a passionate crowd of 50K watching, there is bound to be some comments passed and they should take it in their stride. If one remembers, there was one Greg Mathews in the Aussie team way back in the eighties. The audience said a lot to him when he used to field near the boundary but he took it in the right spirit and interacted with them. He became a darling of the crowd all over India. It seems everything has become so hostile nowadays.

by ganga on Oct 18, 2007 09:08 AM  Permalink

if u play ur game fair without indulging in all that on field monkeying in the name of mental disintegration u will be treated fairly. before looking out and crying over how ppl treat u look within and how ur own attitude has been towards others. after all, what u sow is what u reap.

And what is your point sir ? Racial abuse is probably the most abhorrent form of human behaviour. But I agree that at least outwardly , very few whites display racist behavior. In case of Indian, that probably is an exception. The reason is that we are neither white nor black and would want to show ourselves as being same as Aryans ( with a tan ) and use that as a license to abuse anyone who shows less Aryan features ( darker skin, thick lips , curly hair and the like ). The most hilarious episode was Shilpa complaining of racism while putting dollops of skin bleach every night in the big brother show. We are Indians , we are like you whites and we can be if we use acid to take off one layer of our skin to become white...

What's racist about it?
by Sameer Pandit on Oct 18, 2007 09:06 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Whats 'racist' about calling a guy a monkey or booing him? He dresses up like a monkey voluntarily and that has got nothing to do with his race or ethinicity. It's not like when the Aussies called Muralitharan 'black **
*' And now you can't boo a player at game because its apparently racist? Thats ridiculous! Next they'll say we are going to throw you out if you dont clap for every player!

Why the media is after Indian fans? Why can't they recollect how Montey Panesar of England was abused.

I would like to quote the exact verabl abuse made by Aussies " .. You don't even know how to talk in English, don't call yourself English..."

Why the slaves of Indian news reporters are still licking western boot? Why can't they write better things and if they can't let them be unbiased.

Symonds

Symonds was just being booed, not abused. Of course, it is in bad taste to insult one's guests with such silly antics. However, the Aussies need'nt take it so hard, remember, we have a monkey god!

India down, next?
by chris on Oct 18, 2007 09:04 AM  Permalink

Indian cricket fans are an inspiration, the way they can care so much for so little. The only real reason any of this nonsense is making headlines is because Australia dominating yet another embarassing sub-continent team is just not news here anymore.

Symonds faces abuse yet again
by my message on Oct 18, 2007 08:55 AM  Permalink

Such behaviour from crowds are not in good taste. But, the Australians complaint sounds like "they hit me back". Besides being good at Cricket, they are also experts at psychological fight thro' their media and their unnecessary aggression on the field.

If the Captain himself is unable to or is uninterested in controlling his own team from sledging, how does he expect a control of thousand of spectators? Ponting should understand that such crowd behaviour happens often to the Australians. There should be a good reason for this and being Cricket Champions is not one of the reasons.
