I agree with you Dhoni and Yuvraj should take the responsiblility for the 6th match where we lost it by 18 runs! Yuvraj must be enjoying the crores he got of 20:20, but remember, that doesn't last long if you don't play consistantly...

Australians are the masters of on field behaviour including racist comments and the other teams have learned the same from them. When they were doing against other countries, why ICC kept mum? Now when other countries are doing the same against Australians, why ICC is concerned about it? ICC is responsible for these types of behaviour in Cricket, which is supposed to be gentlemens game. ICC must take action against Australians first.

Aussies are known for sledging. They are the ones who started such foul mouthed behaviour as a strtegy to irritate the opponent and win advantage. When aportion of it is repaid it pinches them

Does Monkeying a racist comment! Ridiculous!!
by kommunje balamurali on Oct 18, 2007 10:55 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It was really a ridiculous issue that Andrew Symonds and the rest of the Australian team is been making about. Does monekeying amounts to racism I wonder how this word of english has been tampered to call monkeying a racist comment. Even Mark Waugh has felt it ridiculous to call it a racist comment. Hope the whole media does a great correction in displaying and glorifying the monkeying as a racist comment. Oh GOD, give these fellows a good enough thinking...

I completly agree with you. How can you term apping or gesturing as a sign of racisim... Its absolute rubbish...if we observe this kind of behaviour is very prominent with England and Australian crowd... WHen they boo or make cat calls then it is a part of their way of showing respect to a player they feel threatned and if we do it then its Racisim...high time we stand up against this double standards.

No point blaming the Indians, Oz's r the most indignified sportsmen in this world!
by Arvind Shah on Oct 18, 2007 10:52 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Indian crowds do not have such a bad reputation in accepting good players from other countries. We have noted that in the past there have been many popular stars from other countries here. I just would like to share an incident which was witnessed by me. I had the oppurtunity to visit the hotel where the stars were put up during the Cochin ODI on Oct 02, 2007. A few kids were very excited at the sight of Ponting, Symonds & Clark and rushed towards them for Autographs. These guys refused outright and in fact, were very rude to those kids pushing them literally. Clarke was shrugging off and was muttering something which I am sure was not pleasant. These guys are terrible and extremely unpopular here in India and thats why they get such jeers from the crowd. On the other hand I also saw Brett Lee and Gilchrist gladly obliging these kids with autographs and even pics. Tell me was Lee / Gilchrist booed in any of the venues ??? In fact, these two were cheered for their performances! It only goes to show that the cricketers are popular here will be treated well and others are surely going to face the jitters from the public, accept it or just get out of here! We did also see that Symonds was the one who kicked up onfield arguments with Sree/Bhajji etc etc, How d u then expect the Indian public to be kind to him ? I think a monkey has to be called one, nothing wrong in it. And mind u, there is no racism involved in this . . . This is NOT an abuse towards skin colour or any such kind.

Hi Arvind,
I totally agree to your point as I witnessed the same while sharing waiting launge at Mumbai Airport a year back. Hayden, Kaspowitch appeared very rude & arrogant on a limited crowd in a launge exactly the way you have described Clarke, Ponting & Symonds. On the contrary, Lee & Gilchrist were very friendly.

Ausi's should understand, it's give respect & take respect that works all over.

I totally agree with you, Arvindbhai ! These Australians are having a bad habit of creating new issues to have a mental upper hand wherever they go ! I think they are taught these dirty mental games by their trainers !

Even a woman of high morals will get angry, you will agree.
But whatever is done was needed to be done. It was a high time and they were to be taught a lesson. when, if not now.

But one regret , we could not equalise it.
