Hi Thalaivar - Have you read the Ramayana? ever wondered who the monkeys in that were .... before making racist comments , think twice about what others think of you

Ram's existence itself is a matter of debate. So no point in talking about his Harypotter story. All Indians are my brothers and sisters. So even if the fiction existed, u r also in my race...dear
It is high time that ICC should read the message from spectators. Aussies have been behaving badly on the field and ICC turned blind to their gross misconduct. How in the world could the Indians forget the way Aussies insulted Sharad Pawar? Aussies certainly have to amend their ways.

Indians thank Aussies for showing that gentleman his rightful place. Did you notice how politicians put the players in the background in the T20 ceremony in their honor in Bombay to the extent the players cannot be seen.
Racism is when someone is differentiated or demeaned on the basis of their race or colour. Example: When Indians were not allowed in places where the British frequented during the days of the Raj OR when a white man calls an Afro-caribbean man 'Black'.
I fail to understand as to how in the Symmonds' case the issue of racism even came up.
1. Monkey is an animal and NOT a race at all.
2. The skin colour of the average Indian is not significantly different from that of Symmonds.
There is no basis of racism here at all!! If this is racism then people who called Pataudi tiger are racists for calling a man tiger!!
The whole issue doesn't make any sense to me at all. It just sounds like a bit of Monkey business (oops! I'm being racist!!)
I still condemn making fun of someone's appearance.

I guess there is a new race by name Monkeys. And Symonds feels he belongs to it, so, when somebody does Monkey chants, they are termed as racist comments! :-)

Symonds is Carribean (biologically) British (born and adopted there) Australian (immigration) ..!
And BTW the aussies are called Kangaroos (that should be racist according to symonds, NZ are called Kiwis (how racist?!?!)and Sri Lankans are the lions (racism gone too far)
Rahul Dravid being a gentleman...kept absorbing stuff, and so did all the old players.. the young and the revived, have a will to give it back...is it wrong? or right? If they limit it and use it as a tool, to implement their will and keep the primary focus on game, then it will do the indian cricket team a lot of good.
If you understand the 'misguided perceptions'[as per you] of this board..then you should also have the education to understand whom do you represent. what the hell are you trying to prove when you say you can rip apart the colonial points in this board. Its not about any colonial point you uncivilized r... , the point of view which you are seeing here is exactly what people have understood about your race from the Aus players who represents it. Dont blame the crowd for it, if at all you have to blame someone then start it from Aus attitude only. Of course they are a tough team and they win matches, but does that mean they can instigate and provoke other team at their will.
I do not want to climb the tree, in which you are already living for genres.

A whole new reply for me, I feel special. You didn't really say anything though...
The view here is called jealousy sir.
The Australian team can say as they will, as can the Indian team, provided it does not step over the boundaries. Racism is obviously over the boundary, and just as Lehman was punished for calling a Sri Lanken a black C___ so too should the offending Indian crowd.
It's not rocket science. Sledging is one thing, racism is another.
If you believe calling a black man a monkey not racism, then you lack basic understanding of what is racism. Certainly judging from the responses to my monkey posts no-one seems to doubt it's racism when an Indian is called a monkey.

For one, I dont approve the act of the crowds - thats a diff case. But the thing which I'm trying to tell you was that - I'm surprised to hear Aussies crying foul on everything in this tour. I admit they play well and deserved the series - no doubt and one man who made the difference between 2 sides was the very man - Symonds. Was it not him the result of the series would have been something else. Thats for the skill sets of cricketing abilities, but as for other things, just sit back and think who really started this off. Aussies tries to be smart even before a series starts, but some of the comments from Ponting and Symonds before 1st ball was bowled was not great. They may call it strategy, but when they got things back on the field - they started complaining at ever given chance. Why ? thats my question.
Then coming to the monkey chants - if this allegation was made by a WI ian player i could have understood. But that from Aussies [crowd] who racially abused Montey in the last ashes tour - deceives logic !

But you see you are rewriting events as it suits you. I already established the difference between racism and sledging so I won't go into that again, if you believe racism is a just recourse to sledging then there's not much to say except you are wrong.
The Australian's complaining about every little thing is also wrong. Gilchrist allured to Sreesanth's behaviour of throwing down the wickets on a dead ball and proceeding to argue the point with the umpire with clown like gestures was schoolboys stuff. That seems pretty fair and reasonable to me, such action is definitely rediculous and far different from sledging.
Then Symonds said he was racially abused, the fact he didn't lodge a complaint was proof the fact it wasn't a big deal and he let it go.
The Australian media picked it up. Why? Pretty simple, such a story sells papers over here more so than the usual Australia win in India yet again headline.
Then Indian papers picked it up, it kept happening, and people such as yourself are throwing caution to the wind arguing that the difference between sledging and racism isn't clear and that it's your patriotic duty to support the racist crowd members for 'giving it back'.
Monty alleged he was racially abused, saying he was called a 'stupid Indian'. Now, you want to tell me that's racial abuse? Have you been to a game? Players calling each other stupid [insert nationality here] is common practice by all parties, and was not deemed racist for that reason.

Crowd has bothered players ever since I am watching it.
What's the big deal? Deal with it. Players should be secure (physically) from the crowd. Apart from that all is fine.
Tomorrow they will say that crowd cannot clap. Whatever.
Mr Pointing, What are you complaining about? Did you forget the way your team behaved during Champions trophy presentation. Sharad Pawar, one of the know figures in country was pushed on the stage by your same team...I mean this is only one of them.
