Think right Satwar
by Sita Rama Prasad Eadala on Oct 16, 2007 01:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mr Satwar in his comment mentioned that everyone from South India is praying for Sachin's failure.
I cannot understand how one can think so foolishly. I am from Hyderabad, a city from India (only a fool would break it further down as a city in South India, or a city in AP or a city in Telengana,...) and am a die hard fan of Sachin and everybody in my family is same. We pray that he and every other player play well and India should win.
I request Mr Satwar to please think right and do not propagate hate towards certain regions, languages, etc. If you can please write some thing which encourages and promotes unity amongst all.

A CONFUSED STATE OF AFFAIRS: INDIAN CRICKET WHILE PLAYING AGAINST STRONGER(EST) TEAMS OF THE WORLD
by vaibhav kumar on Oct 16, 2007 12:46 PM  Permalink

Its not new, it is not ugly but it is repeatative. We are nowhere when there is time and opportunity to show that we are better than the best.

I can clearly bet that on given day and with a motivation level bit high than what the current INDIAN team harbors, we could have won a couple of matches more in this series.

Having said that, this is the point which separated Aussies from Indian players. No harm when Utthappa said that they will "FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE". Absolutely great. But they burnt in their own fire.

They have the proper attitude but

1. they could not execute their plans,
2. got carried away (Sreesanth),
3. had an OVER-HYPED but talented and remarkably immature leaders (Dhoni and Yuvi),
4. a confused state of affairs for big 3's and their roles and last of all, the courage to tell everyone specially the big 3's, their role in team performance.
5. Strategic blunders showing non-existance of Rajput as an able coach; the ones who needed to play sheet anchores played big shorts (Dravid) and the ones who should play big shorts, played sheet anchors (Dhoni).

The same team with same players could have caused a historical win over Aussies, provided they had the right execution and will to excell. Their exuberance, their potential and fire all wasted for their own kill.

Hope they do better against weaker oppositions (Pakistan is one of them).

cheers

Jim, the genius!

Again another selector here. Why the emphasis on selection as if you are the guru of team selection. None of us have even played the damn game at the highest level. What makes us think that we can judge if Dravid deserves a spot. Why not talk about what we need to do with say taking pressure off him. Why cant we talk about giving him some really well deserved boost. May be the guy is feeling low. Is there something we can do as fans to help him get back?

Mr. Genius Jim! When someone plays at the highest level, he himself must know to deal with these pressures and there are specialists for this job. I get to watch him struggling to regain form and he looks pathetic in trying to do so. I write what I feel like. Let me agin tell you here, I don't need to satisfy you. If you're so concerned about him, go and counsel him. None stops you. Right now, he looks pathetic, an eyesore! And, a majority of people who saw him struggling, would agree with me, if not you.

Hi hole supporter. I have nothing against the hole. But sort of holes he is made in the Team this series, cant tolrate that. If the player is so heavy and still cannot hold the pressure then why continue to play him in front of millions of viewers.

Sreesanth - The decider of this series
by anil gopal on Oct 16, 2007 10:18 AM  Permalink

I think sreesanth is the player who decide this series in Harbhajan's That spectacular over where Sree missed the Golden Oppertunity of The Inform Batsman Andrew Symonds. What a miss was it? He did not know - "Catches Win Matches ". Good Luck Sree.

Good reason to avoid next game!
by asheesh sharma on Oct 16, 2007 09:41 AM  Permalink

Well, Indian team has now got a chance to put up a reason to not play the last one day game. That will help avoid 5-1 defeat, which is a sure case if the game happens. Atleast big mouth (with least potential) sreesanth and harbhajan should go, along with ever depressing dravid. Good luck team India, and make every one proud by losing next game with biggest margin in cricket history.
