its sort of give n take policy for the indian teams post azzu era...we were never beaten against any team that played in indian grounds..except against pakistan during azzu era..now we are losing home matches as if the opposition thinks us a bangladesh or bermuda...but the positive about post azzu team is that we have learnt to conquer opponents in their own back yard...but in the process, we fail to note that the opponents have learnt to adapt to our conditions and we are not able to raise our level since we think the opponents cannot adapt to our condtions and we can outsmart them..its better we have indian coach now..
There is no comparision between this Aussie team and Lloyd' then WI team. Just for the sake of writing an article, dont write. India is losing because of too much of cricket, less preparation. Aussies are fresh, thats it. Rediff, i would suggest you please scan the articles and publish.. DUMB

You are right cos the Aussie Team is better, They have won 3 WC, the ICC cup, nearly 80% of Test Matches in the last 12 years, a win % far better than Lloyd. Mcgrath,Warne,Ponting,Steve Waugh,Hayden,Gilchrist,Langer,Taylor,Lee as good as WI of Marshall,Garner,Roberts,Lloyd,Richards. Remember, WI lost to Lillee,Thommo,Chappels,Marsh.

When the WI team lost to Aussie team that had Lillee, Thommo, Chappels and Marsh, it was their first series against them under Lloyd and the WI team did not have Garner, Baptiste or Marshall. Mike Holding was young and Roberts was inexperienced. When these guys came together, they devastated everyone in their path.
And they lost to a team that had some all time greats like Lillee, Marsh, Chappels and Thommo who were all in their peak.
Aussies on the other hand lost to an english side that was full of nobodys who simply came together and played one good series. The Aussies lost to India, drew a series with India in their homeland - this when Indians are supposed to be poor travellers. Aussies drew series with a West indies that had an aging Walsh, an old Ambrose and only Lara as notable batsman.
One can never forget the memorable headline "Marshall law in Kanpur" about the super performance of Malcolm Marshall at Kanpur maidan in the first test of 1983 series and the misery of Indian team...
But, Sunny gave a fitting reply to Marshall in Delhi in the second test when he hooked Marshall for a sixer in the second over and went on to score 121 to equal Don Bradman's record. What a game.
That was truly a memorable series - trouble in Srinagar one day, the ruckus at Ahmedabad test and the long innings, that only Gods can play, played by Sunny, when India was 0 for 2, and ending the day at 36 for 2 with Sidhu on the other end remaining not out on 236 at the end of the innings..
Those were truly memorable games and great teams.
To compare the team lead by LLoyd with this Aussies is blasphemy.
You can't possibly compare any one team (neither in their past nor in future) to the team that had a Gordon Greenidge, Desmond Haynes, Vivian Richards, Larry Gomes, Clive LLoyd, Joel Garner, Michael Holding, Andy Roberts, Malcolm Marshall, Wayne Daniel, Jeff Dujon etc... Such an indiscretion would warrant application of Shariat Law - 100 public lashes, fine of 100 gold soveriens ending in public hanging.
This present crop of imbeciles in the Indian team are capable of losing to anyone - you don't have to compare the series with Kapil's Devils - they are a different breed - Kapil Dev, Sunny, Vengy, - they are all class. And the vengence of LLoyd is well known and unparalleled.

Very well said. That was my first test series on radio. Many people started watching cricket from that series since India had just won the cup.
I remember Mohinder Amarnath who was the man of the match in world cup final was given a treatment like that of a jew in a concentration camp. He scored 1 run in the series and was dropped for 3 tests. 1 run in 3 tests with 5 ducks. And this was the guy who scored well against West indians in West Indies. He was reduced to dust.
Now that is the stuff champions are made of. That's what calypso team was about. They played against Botham, Gooch, Gatting, Gower and Willis and "black-washed" them. They never had any problem with Hadlee. They tortured and destroyed teams like Kapil Devils. Aussies were nothing....I repeat nothing in front of them. Only Pakistan, with Imran, Nawaz, Nazar, Quadir and Abbas had some steel against them.
My Dear Article writer, pls see that this is not called domination, just wait and watch. In the coming two matches India will completely dominate this Australian side, they are little bit lucky, otherwise result of this series against them. Secondly do not match this team with clive lloyed team, Kangaroos are very coward. If you will take 3 early wickets they can not even chase 150 runs

Mr.Rakesh, sorry your comment/dream is far from reality. me too i love to see India win all the matches...you must be joking that India is gonna dominate the last two matches... i wish a miracle that India drew the series....i remeber a saying ...WHEN U WAKE UP IN THE MORNING YOU HAVE TWO CHOICE ...EITHER GO BACK TO SLEEP AND CONTINUE TO DREAM OR TO GET OUT OF THE BED AND CHASE YOUR DREAM .... AUSSIES are mighty right now, they are two good in all department of game....Today they are the best...
