not for publicity !!
by ram dalal on Oct 10, 2007 01:12 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

When i started reading the article , i thought he's doing it for publicity , but on finishing it - my views changed ! doesnt matter if he was a good cricketer or not . His comments are quite valid. It will not be possible to outdo the aussies by verbal sledging. Its quite clear that aussies are not being able to perform under INTENSE PRESSURE these days (as seen from the semi-final and the last match) , so just pressurize them the old way - bat first and put up a score. they are sure to succumb .

My Dear Friend Pankaj,

If you have read the whole article you will know that he has help our team in getting prepared for aussises mentally and how to handle them in the field.

That is the true thought from Robertson.
Never take anything emotional like Indian or Aussies.

He infact given perfect knowledge about sledging by the aussies and how to avoid in the field.

I think Kindly understand that Gavin Robertson. Has really helped us in handling the aussies.

Regards

Ignore Gavin Robertson
by Priya on Oct 10, 2007 01:06 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We do not require Gavin Robertson (By the way how many Int matches he has played??!!)teaching us what to do. May be he too is upset by the new indian approach to the team. Or may be the upset Punter is seeking outside intervention for his own sake

Keep talking back to the Aussies, they will lose their head for sure. Let us not talk about agression. It is about repaying the disrespect they show to our cricketers in their own coin.

Bat will do the talk, but give them back what they dish out first.

C'mon Bhavish, Cricket is a physical game and they talk about disintegrating opponent's mind within the playing arena and outside it. Why should they do it? When that is done, they should be treated the way they deserve it. Their ancestry is known to everyone. It cannot be simply ignored.

Bingo!!!
by Closet Vampire on Oct 10, 2007 01:03 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Gavin Robertson couldnt be more right. Indians are behaving like barking dogs which dont bite. They bark at an Aussie batsman and then get hit for a 4/6 on the next ball. The opposite is the case of Aussie team - barking dogs which bite hard. Their bowler stares at a batsman and sends a snorter on the next ball leaving the batsman defending his life.
Aussie strategy is simple - perform and rub salt in wounds of opposing side by sledging. Indian team is trying to rub salt in the wounds that dont exist since they are not performing in the first place.

Rohit bhai, shayad tum kuch bhool rahe ho. "Lets win the series" is not up to you & me, it depends on the players in the Indian team. And from all indications, they are nowhere close to winning the series. They got plastered in the first 3 matches and just scraped thru in the 4th. I hope the Indian team is as bullish & hopeful as you and many others participating in this debate are.
