A victory at home has become cheaper and of no value because the pitches are doctored to suit Indians. They are so dead that at Calcutta and Bangalore teams effortlessly scored 600 plus.
We may lose for a few years but slowly our cricketers will get used to palying on fair pitches which are result oriented bouncy, favour pace for 3 days and then favour spin as well

Yes high time fast & boucy be introduced, great work Daljit Sir, our batsman have forgotten the most exciting strokes, the hook & pull, etc.Reason? Our present types of wickets, specially during the domestic season
Re: PITCHES MUST BE BOUNCY
by peter jarman Lamare on Jun 25, 2012 01:31 PM Permalink
lets forget batsmen for a while, what about our bowlers who toil the wholeday with hardly any result, the reason being our dead & placid wickets. we have today excellent pace bowlers and if given the right tracks they will definitely be forces to reckon with. So the whole scenerio of old fashioh cricket should change soon. Today our batsmen have forgotten to expedite the hook, pull, etc.Need of the hour, Yes, bouncy wickets.
I KNOW MR. DALJIT SINGH AND HIS DEDICATION TO THE GREAT GAME OF CRICKET, HE IS A LIVING LEGEND IN HIMSELF, HIS SELFLESS DEDICATION, HIS EFFORT TO MAKE THE INDIAN PITCHES WORLD CLASS IS A PLEASURE TO WATCH, HE IS ONE MAN WHO HAS MADE THE MOHALI PITCH AND ALSO MANY INDIAN PITCHES COMPARABLE TO INTERNATIONAL STANDARD, WHEN I FIRST SAW THE MOHALI PITCH IN FLOODLIGHT IN A DAY NIGHT MATCH, I HAD TO PINCH MYSELF TO REALISE ITS NOT A DREAM, SUCH IS HIS DEDICACY, U HAVE TO SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT, HE IS ONE MAN IN THIS GAME WHO IS RESPECTED BY ALL, HATS OFF TO HIM AND HIS STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE, I WISH HIM ALL THE BEST
U know what is our problem? We love to look on the negetive side.We always discuss about our faileur but never try to improve those which we have. The Indian blowers are mainly spinners, midium pacers;this is our nature.God gives us brain not such strong muscles this the fact. For that the slower pitches are right for us.

Remember, Hockey is also a British Sport. It was our national game because we used to be so good at it. Also, there is something called Supply and demand. Hockey has neither demand, nor popularity nor the money.
First Hockey Admins will have to clean up their act.

I will tell you what happened to hockey! In 1976 Olympics astro turf was introduced for the first time. Our asian style hockey which relied on dribbling and small passes, simply couldn't adjust to the fast surface. We couldn't reach the finals that year (remember just one year back in 1975, we won the world championship). Since 1976, Indian hockey has been in decline. We lost so many times that people simply lost interest in the game! In 1982 Asiad (in front of Indira Gandhi) final we lost to Pak 6-1, with Nagy as goal keeper. He was blamed for that debacle, and called a Paki agent! His life story has been picturised in Chak-de-India with Shahrukh Khan playing his role! But hopefully things will improve now.
Selectors give to chance a SHEAWAG! He good on KANGAROE peeches! Give he a lot of HEAD-AKE to Aussie player! I good very in EENGLISH! GEEVE me BOOKER PRIZE a.

Nobody can even match wasim bhai. He is the last prohpet of fast bowling
If prepared fast and Bouncy pitches Ganguly will soon resign. because he can play only slow track. Dravid will be the key man, Sheawag can comback strong. Yuvi will find better his way, youngstars will really improve.

Ganguly made 10000 runs playing spin balls. He never played fast deliveries. Shewag is one of the finest in dealing with fast & rising deliveries. He has proven this in Australia and England.

I hope that with SHEAWAG around, KANGAROES get HEAD AKE more often than the Indians!

No I don't. But it looks as though you do. For example look at the Sehwag's entry at cricinfo:
Full name Virender Sehwag
Still any doubts about the spelling? If suggest, read any article about Sehwag. Or perhaps I should change the spelling of your name to Zuari!

With the last innings he played at Delhi, Ganguly did show that he is far better player than the one who lost his place last year. Let's give him a long rope and prove that he is able to make it to the Australian Tour. We need all the experience which we can take. Yuvi can always make it to the team later, he has age to his side.
